Guest In_Milan_We_Trust
Mega Train (mega bus website) are priced at £20 each way. 6.29am set off from Sheffield gets into London 8.31am returns 8.50pm gets into sheff at 11.00pm. It's the train journey I always use for London trips. Perfect times for a full day on the pop in the capital.

S63 Owl
Where does everyone normally drink when we play Charlton? We get into Kings Cross about 10am so plenty of time to sup

S63 Owl
Pub near ground is always full of Wednesday. Think it's called The Antigallican? Cheers mate! Any ideas of best places to drink around London? Ideally on the route across from Kings Cross. Only other proper London away day I've done is Millwall last season and supped around London Bridge that night
JackSwfc12
For Brentford away last month we just had a couple in a wetherspoons near Kings Cross, then went into Brentford. That's probably your best bet.
james o connor
The pubs around London Bridge are the best bet, plenty of choice on offer and a short train ride to the ground

coopswfc76
best day out is to get off at Kings cross then have a couple in nearest boozer, Then every time you need to switch on Tune Lines just nip up and have a couple of pints in that area. If your going straight to ground then you may as well have got somebody to drive straight there instead of messing about on train.

Kate
Don't bother with a travel card or oyster card or a tube ticket Just use your contactless debit/credit card to tap in and out Same fare as oyster. No messing about with tickets
southportdc
Even if you do get a travelcard, Charlton is in zone 3 so don't get a 1-6.
Kate
The George Inn is always a favoured pub before Charlton (London Bridge area) Or a pub in Borough market (Market Porter)

theowlsaregoingup
I live down near London Bridge. Would say The George Inn or Barrowboy & Banker are the best bets. 10 min train from London Bridge to the ground
