mark.flem
I think he's misunderstood personally & stereotyped by his appearence. All he does it try & get the Wednesday fans going, from what I've seen he'll have banter with the oppoosition support but he's far from dangerous or violent. Infact on the odd dealing I've had with him, I've found him a friendly & pleasent bloke
RichieB
Nowt wrong with tango. He's a die hard Wednesday fan, never seen him cause any trouble, people that don't like him because he sings a lot and doesn't wear a top need to lighten up if you ask me. mark.flem
I know a guy who works as a steward in the away end at Forest and has had dealings with Tango in the past. A couple of years back at half time he asked my mate if he could possibly go over to say hello to a young wheelchaired supporter who'd been waving at him. Officially my mate should have said no as it meant tango would have had to enter the gravelled area in front of the advertising boards, but he decided it was all honest fun and let him through. The end result was a happy young chap who'd met a well known fan with no harm caused at all, and at the end of the game Tango made a point of finding my mate and thanking him. Every Forest steward working near him that night absolutely loved him, indeed my mate said he'd have 2000 Tango's every week as opposed to the vile people he'd dealt with from Millwall and Leeds. This... Perfect example of the kind of thing I've seen him do. Its a shame there aren't more like him.
Ronio
Some people need to find things to do Bang on. Like supporting Wednesday. That takes up a fair bit of my time. Can;t complain really, I love it,
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
It's that long ago I'd actually forgot that's where it came from. Me too. I'd completely erased that advert from my memory banks! So what was Tango known as before the Tango man adverts? Just 'man'?
hatcheeks
Ive seen Tango at loads of matches and I have seen him having his photo took with kids, having friendly funny banter with home and away fans and Ive seen him really get the fans singing. Ive also seen him so pissed he could hardly stand and at Ipswich about 10yrs ago I saw him really pissed, trying to get banter going with the away fans, and generally being a right pain in the arse for everyone except his few mates. Not a massive surprise what has happened but generally he seems OK
fatzooma
To be honest, it's a bit sad and outdated (if it ever was dated) If he did this in any other public arena he would be put on the sex offenders register. Causes Wednesday fans to be a bit ok a joke? Probably.
matthefish2002
Don't have any problems with Tango myself, an ok bloke whenever I have spoken to him. Spends his time and money following Wednesday around the country. Think even his close friends would admit he is a bit of an attention seeker though which will always annoy some people. vfowl
Don't have any feelings either way but tango does try to get the fans singing when things get quiet. Is it just me or do you think it's the dingle manager (who hates us) trying to get one over on us. Quiet fans reflect on pitch
sheffield_dave
Doesn't matter who he is or what you personally think of him. Banning supporters from stadiums for NO reason is an absolutely REVOLTING precedent to set. Could be you next time. I have been threatened with eviction from Portman Road for standing in the past. They're a club that have and will pick individuals out of crowds, which is essentially what they've done here to Tango. It's another aspect of the modern game that stinks. Absolutely stinks. fatbloke no1
Imagine atmosphere if it weren't for people like him, there wouldn't be none.football used to be fun and some where to have a laugh and let of a bit of steam.soon we will have to where a suit, not sing, and god help anybody who jumps up and cheers when we score.bring back standing then we can stand and make atmosphere and rest can go in seats and clap when they wake up
Guest hammy1959
I honestly think some of the people on here would be happy to pay £50 a game and sit in total silence, politely applauding now and again. Is that what being a Wednesday fan means these days?Slagging off a fan who follows us all over England. Someone even advises he goes in disguise 80% of you aren't Wednesday fans......not ones I grew up with anyway.
Salli
Its a bit cringy tho a fat bald bloke with is top off all the time then we have the band other teams must laugh at us Its a bit cringey clapping our hands together because somebody kicked a ball into a net. Or singing juvenile songs together. Other teams must laugh at us.
Guest OWO
Anyone know why he sits in the corner between the Kop and north if he really loves winding the opposition fans up so much?[/quoteThis
Salli
Yes but all teams do that some more then others I think some people just need to lighten up really.
