The Owls vs Mansfield Town. Official Matchday Thread

Recommended Posts

Lavery disappointing, will improve im sure. I think Matias will need to score early on this season, im quite afraid of him getting nervy in front of goal, going to be a HUGE player when he gets scoring

Excellent win for the boys tonight! Pearson and co kept me entertained via WP, gutted I couldn't be there. Joao and Sougou sounded different class; views from people who attended would be more than welcome!

Sougou and Joao made a loud shout for the first team, but i think we will be unchanged on saturday from the Bristol game. Hope Matias scores on saturday, with Sougou breathing down his neck he needs to really.

Agree - still think Joao won't be a starter for a bit yet. Matias a different player from Sogou and he will be first choice .

Would like to have seen Bus get a try tonight - he has been a little unlucky and deserves a chance but just think he doesn't seem part of CC's plans

I wonder if Sogou will be used from the bench on the counter. Then again, away from home I also wonder if he will be a better option than Wallace in that Wallace doesnt really have any pace.

I suppose not, but by the time he got the ball more bodies were back. I think Wallace will be key to  unlocking tight defences. Perhaps Matias and Sogou will be the ones to get in behind on the counter.

to be honest, I dont even care which one starts away, we are actually sat here arguing and discussing the fact we have too many options....its unheard of  lol

as good as some of the players were tonight. Throw Wallace, hunt and mags back in and that game would have been out of sight by half time

Yup.

Can see why people are saying the opposition hasn't been the strongest so far (not a criticism of either team), but we have been comfortable and convincing in both wins. That's the important bit for me.

Just one word to say after that: gettheflipin!!
