DevOwls Advocate
I love Sheffield FC but what's this crowdfunding for? Didn't they sell the original rules for a million pounds last year? They did, but that was to cover the debts they'd racked up around their 150th anniversary year flying around the globe trying to woo big business and FIFA to get on board. That and the pie in the sky plans for an 8000 capacity stadium near Bumhole Stain. A Club that has a special place in our city's and our country's footballing history, but consistently badly run financially.
happy bunny
If it's proven it isn't kivo, I will apologise Until then, my opinion is that he shouldn't go on a rival clubs board trying to discredit the club It stinks enough as it is
edinburghowl
I can sympathise a bit with the Bristol fans. It may have a good view, but after travelling 175 miles each way, paying £39 a pop to sit in an aged stand with crap facilities, playing against a team that has yo-yo'd between the second and third divisions for 10 years can't be very appealing. rob1601
Same half dozen supporters getting offensive and taking the pee, in thread after thread after thread Interesting others are too busy working hard and saving to afford tickets!

Should play The Wednesday to open it! Both sides in the oldest strip known! Guaranteed sell out.
Guest Ash76
That's how I read it. I don't know it will depend who we play and how attendances are going. I would imagine when the tickets go on sale about 3weeks before the game and no I don't have a problem, the club has been doing categories for years hasn't it? Just not as many and not as expensive. Good on you Bristol City. Hope other fans follow suit. I attended 17 away games last season but it didn't cost anywhere near the £663 it would cost for 17 Bristol fans to come to us. Hope other clubs follow suit. I have boycotted Leeds the last couple of years for prices less than this. We have suddenly become a dirty word in football and it doesn't feel good. Also well done Bristol for including the link to Sheffield Fc. Am I on Owlstalk? Is this a forum for Wednesday fans? Doesn't matter what you think of ticket prices these aren't the actions of supporters

DevOwls Advocate
...and my second and final comment on the ticket price issue (first in a different thread a week ago). Ticket prices across most of football are too high - I agree 100%. However, the word hypocrisy being thrown around in respect of Leeds. I'm more reminded of a quote from Martin Niemoller when he said: First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me. Roughly translated: First they put the prices up in London, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Londoner. Then they put the prices up in the rest of the Premier League, and I did not speak out - because my team were not in the Premier League. Then they put the prices up at Leeds, and I didn't really speak out - because I could watch it on TV. Then they put the prices up at my club, and I was f*cking outraged. I'm not saying people are wrong, just that I have more respect for those people who took the blinkers off and saw years ago that this is an issue that stretches higher and wider than our Club (which doesn't make our Club right) and has done for a long time. Campaigning just against SWFC is ignoring the bigger picture, and the real people that should be targeted and have influence (primarily the Premier League, The FA, UEFA, FIFA, and Government) are largely being ignored. God help us if we ever make the Premier League - We'll need performance mode all season!! Although I will be interested to see what gets the longest thread: ticket prices or ticket priority points for away games?!? rob1601
Funny that Bristol City fans won't pay 39 quid to watch a game but pay a fiver to a website. I think a fair few will come. They are sounding a little more desperate and asking for their club to subsidise them not that I agree with 39 quid. football is like a drug, most of us are addicted and the clubs are our dealers. vontemp
Damn those Bristol City fans refusing to be ripped off, they should turn out and support their team regardless.....like we have done at Leeds the last 2 seasons.
shez owl
I think you'll be disappointed and we'll get a decent crowd. Yep Which is why it's a Cat B game, first game of season = more interest = premium price, basic economics

Let me be clear I think the potg prices are way too high for the brizzle game and I don't blame people for being p!used off.
darra
Just been on th OS to see how much a kop ticket is for the Middlesbrough game and all I get is a link to phase 3 season tickets. So in other words nobody knows how much it will be yet. How can that be right? It's only 39 days away. Edited July 23, 2015 by darra
