kim bo-kyung

@RumoursSWFC: Not 100% certain yet but hearing Kim Bo-kyung has signed a three-year deal with Wednesday #SWFC

@stealthy3010: @RumoursSWFC @robstaton @domhowson is this bloke talking out of his rear again #wawaw #swfc

@robstaton: @stealthy3010 Yes

@robstaton: @iainramsay been on the radar for a while

@robstaton: @iainramsay although last time he was linked it was a bit of agent mischief trying to get his name out. Was merely suggested to SWFC

So he hasn't signed.

Staton seems to be out of touch this summer. People might hate it but Nixon is getting a lot right at the minute and seems to have a very good line to Wednesday he seems to think it could be pretty advanced involving Kim Bo-Kyung... I think there's something in it at least.

lol

You sure about that statement? I'm confident on him being more effective than McGugan was last season if he signs

Well he hasn't got the scoring record of mcgugan and isn't the same kind of dead ball specialist either. So I think it's a fair statement

If we get this guy signed, along with De Zeeuw, our midfield will be almost sorted.

Kim is versatile so can play out wide in a three, or through the centre.

Seems more and more likely that we're setting up with a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 this season, with two sitting midfielders, wing backs bombing forward, a creative hub just behind the striker, and two wingers/inside forwards.

.........Lees.......Loovens.............

Hunt.................................Helan

........De Zeeuw....Melo..............

?????.........Kim...............Lavery

..................Nuhiu.......................

Somebody like Vaz Te, a wide man with goals in him, will be a great addition.

Would be nice to have replacements for Helan and Nuhiu but apart from that it looks an exciting team.

I can perhaps see us bringing on one striker, but I think we'll stick with Helan and Dielna for the left back spots.

And to be fair, Helan needs the opportunity to nail that position down. At times last season, he looked like he'd finally found his feet at left back, only to be inexplicably moved for little reason. And towards the end of the season, his confidence was shot, and he looked awful again.

Given time, and regular games in the left back position, I still think Helan could be a major player for us. He's a genuine modern day full back, athletic, strong, quick, loves getting forward. But, like many, he's a confidence player. A good run in the side, and knowing he's first choice, could be the making of him.

I'd take replacing Helan as the major one there. For all his negatives nuhiu is good at holding the ball up and I reckon that team could feed off him nicely.

A team with attacking intent for a number of players, doesn't need this mythical 20 goal a striker that any club can buy at the drop of a hat.

If you've got widemen, full backs, and central midfielders all capable and willing to attack and chip in with goals, the necessity for a 20 goal a season striker is reduced.

I think we will end up signing perhaps one striker, but in that system, with the right players, Nuhiu/Bus and perhaps even May, could do a job and will exceed last seasons goal tally.

Football simply isn't as black and white as "X only scored X amount last season, so will score the same amount this." The players we have already, really aren't that bad. I think a few fans will be surprised by how much better certain players look this season, with better players around them, and a more positive intent.

Fair enough but I disagree that Nuhui is the right striker for that system I think it needs someone quick and powerful like Callum Wilson or Troy Deeney, as the team will be playing the ball on the floor and threading passes threw the opposition defence. I don't think Nuhui has the pace or movement to score lots of goals up front on his own

This guy would be a very good signing as an alternative to Mcguigan - he was only with Wigan until the end of the season I think so a free agent.

He would be on a fair whack though and I would imagine other clubs will be in for him so I wouldn't get too excited yet!

There's more than one way to play different systems...

There isn't a system nuhui is right for.

We will sign much better

Agree it would be nice to get a 20 goal a season striker problem is he breaks his leg first match and your 20 goal a season striker is out for a big lump of the season. Better as others have said score goals from other parts of the pitch. Have two 10 goal a season players then if one gets injured you still got one left.
