Saxondale Posted July 3, 2015 Share Posted July 3, 2015 If reports can be believed the reason Maguire refused his new offer was the length of contract (only 1 year) and not the wages. Perhaps Owls management saw him only as a squad player worth keeping for this season, who due to expected team improvements over the next year, would certainly not be needed for the 2016/17 season or thereafter. Why commit to paying wages for 2 or 3 years if you only want the player for one season. He was offered 1 year on reduced terms. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
