Carlos Carvalhal is the coach elected to succeed Paul Fonseca as coach of Paços de Ferreira. Negotiations between the pacense SDUQ and the coach are already well advanced and should be completed in the coming hours, with only define the contract durability, which should be two times before the official presentation.

The option to choose the governance structure of the club was based on the long experience of Carlos Carvalhal in Portuguese football, recognizing him sufficient capacity to continue the project initiated by Paulo Fonseca, particularly in the betting players of secondary earners and young people from a formation, in line with the tight fiscal policy.

Furthermore, those responsible pacenses would not risk in hiring a coach with no experience, do not go to a similar risk to those involved with Costinha, who, remember, two seasons ago dragged serious sporting issues, with the team Save- if the decline in the last game of the season and already after two more technical changes (Henrique Calisto and Jorge Costa).

So, Carlos Pinto, who also became a strong possibility, turned out not receive consensus support of pacenses.

Let's just see how this goes.

Not familiar with his work but he can't be THAT bad if Sporting Lisbon and Besiktas have hired him. Two big clubs.
