Next manager thread....

I think it will be a left field foreign appointment. If we were after petrescu and couldn't get him then that shows the markets we are exploring for managers and players. Much like Charlton are.

What is more worrying is that Petrescu was put off because he didn't think we would be at the top of the division.

Foreign, used to working within a Head Coach / DoF / Sporting Committee environment. Possibly unknown by the majority of Owlstakers but this won't stop us pulling out all sorts of data and opinions on him immediately, pointing out why he is brilliant / the biggest mistake ever.

And he will be appointed quite soon and have a nice smile. And be followed by some interesting foreign signings, one of whom will be Scandinavian.

Just guessing like.

Can't see it being Big Sam or Jokanovic purely on salary alone.

Warburton? Brentford didn't think he was the man to take them forward so why would we?

All points towards Lambert for me and would be a solid appointment. Back to back promotions with Norwich proves he's a decent manager.

Sean Dyche could be another if he fancies a new challenge.

Co Adriannce if that's how you pronounce it, ex fc Twente and Porto. Could be the left wing foreign manager people keep banging on about.

The Dutch Megson? lol

Adriaanse is famous for his controversial training approach. At Willem II, he once ordered his whole squad to follow him by car, while they drove 13 km away from their training ground. At a remote spot, all players had to give their car keys to Adriaanse. Then he drove back to town, while the squad had to run in front of his car. Back at the training ground, the players got their car keys back. However, since their cars were still parked far from the training ground, they all had to walk back another 13 km. At AZ Alkmaar he once ordered the whole squad to search for Easter eggs during a training session. They looked for an hour until Co Adriaanse finally revealed there were no eggs hidden.Adriaanse already had these strange training methods at the start of his career, because when he was a youth trainer at Ajax, he sometimes ordered his players to lie on the ground. Then a teammate (with football boots on) would run over the bodies. Because of all these infamous incidents, Adriaanse is sometimes nicknamed "Psycho Co".

If Nixon is right, and it will be someone obscure, maybe they won't be having much imput into who we sign. For a start, most people believe that we already have our signings lined up, in fact Nixon commented that on how impressive our targets were. If that were the case, then changing the coach at the eleventh hour, was not as big a risk as some may have feared.
