Antonio was (and still is) worth more than Harry Maguire and we got nowhere near £3m, we didn't get more than £1.5m after Reading got their sell on fee too. And was it more than what united got for league 1 defender Harry Maguire? We got screwed on that deal there's no doubt about it. What's he worth now, just one season later, £5/6m? Of course we need to buy a winger or two who can absolutely skin a full back for pace....but we also need wingers who are out and out crossers. We need a balance! Otherwise we're too one dimensional. In any case, Marshall is no slouch. He's no speedster...but he's hardly slow either. Like most players he's got enough pace to get him by & he's talent with the ball does the rest. Speed is a valuable asset. But it's not the be all and end all...it's not a deal breaker when signing a player!
