Guest _Ibbo_
The prices rises for next season are horrific. Especially on the back of the worst home form for at least 20 years plus.... which considering our history takes some beating...... There HAS to be massive spending on players to even remotely justify those sort of prices.......
parkerowl
I refuse to make any comment until JV guides me on the ramifications of this. Don't encourage him to come back on FFS.
dorian gray
We could do with a big signing now to show that the prices are worth it. he appears to have done everything right so far... maybe the next step IS that WOW! of a signing...
Ronnie Starling
I can see me being priced out of a season ticket very soon the way prices are going at Hillsborough.
Guest _Ibbo_
That's £147/dinner. £150 a head is what fiscers baslow hall is, including drinks..... Having experienced SWFC catering in the "exec" area.... Its hardly a £15 a head meal never mind £150. Infact I'd say weatherspoons do better food than wednesdays catering. IstillhateSteveBould
Maybe DC's "family" will buy the boxes up. Increased revenue for the club, and another way round FFP.

Dick_Turpin
SERIOUSLY, if you didn't have a box last term, or were plannin' to get one this... i can't really see it botherin' you... yes prices ARE going up big style... season tickets, half season tickets, and on the day gate prices are going to have to go up to fund this REALISTIC shot at the premier... you can't expect chansiri to fund the whole venture, and... with our floating support wycombe/hartlepool (play off) the vast prices MAY mean YOU have to go less for the amount of money you want to spend... BUT IF we're playing TOP OF THE TABLE FOOTBALL then it's likely someone who didn't go to the last game will take you place... 22,000@ £32/33 average??? as a football fan, you'll not like the look of it, BUT as a businessman chansiri will... We're football fans on here - it's not the flipping FT forum. Big price rises stink. Full stop.

Guest Deleted member
It'll go through the firm anyway, tax dodge You have to be making fairly sizeable profits to need a £40k tax dodge Additionally not all the money can be used to avoid tax anyway. If we sell all the higher priced exec boxes (even if it is to his "family") maybe we can justify higher shirt sponsorship income and ground naming rights. We need to increase commercial income, this maybe just one way of increasing our "base" level somewhat. If they are all left empty though....... Guest Deleted member
This goes back to what I was saying yesterday. We are penalising our loyal supporters - at all levels it seems - the ones who have stood by the club through thin and thin With 15,000 seats regularly empty in the ground, and other possibilities available to us for corporate entertainment (such as those opportunities for making more of the Grandstand for example) - we should be much more imaginative in attracting NEW people to the ground - rather than just demanding the 20k who have kept the club going the last few years up their own ante - and pay much more for the same.
