Season ticket sales - record broken for eairly bird

Recommended Posts

You think they would announce how many sold, then fans who haven't bought into it yet may change their mind if they know thousands more have, could create a snowball effect.

Or numbers are not as good as we imagine.

agree with that im currently holding on but if they came out and said 15,000 sold at earlybird stage id probably asap, there's loads of things holding me off atm in fairness though.

Depends how you interpret "1000 new sales". I read that as being 1000 people that didn't have one last year, not 1000 more than last year.

Yeah it says 1000 new season ticket holders. So 1000 old ones might not have bought another, so as far as we know it could be same.

About as clear as mud then.

Still, we have to look at the positive chaps. Could well be that some previous stay-aways are being tempted back to the place now there is the chance of investment in the playing squad.

Would find it strange that we'd lose a thousand current holders though considering last year was a nightmare, this season an improvement and next year promises could potentially be the best for years.

1000 new ST, over 10k sold whic is decent, add some quality pre season and we should start the season with at least 15k maybe as high as 17k

If we lost 1500 then added 1000 that surely wouldn't be a record would it?

Or am I simple?

We lost 1,500 from our TOTAL sales not just early bird, we have added 1,000 'new' season tickets so far, and we have apparently broke the record for sales in the first period of sales to previous years early birds. That's all it means.

Overall, we sold more during this "Early Bird" period than we did in the last "Early Bird period" and of those sold around 1,000 were new sales, not just renewals.
