I have mentioned this a while ago but i think it might make one or two chuckle

We were walking over the Trent bridge when we got set upon by Forests finest we were  holding our own then Tommo shouts run Dan they`re throwing acid so we leg it down the road when it was safe he asked me to inspect the acid burn.

I was in stitches he says dont laugh its burning like hell thats when i told him he had been hit by a meat pie and the gravy was running down his neck

Went to all the banned away games. There were loads at Bristol, Derby and Grimsby. The Swansea game was much more difficult to obtain tickets. I ended up contacting a blade I knew who was working in Cardiff at the time and he had 4 tickets sent to his address in Cardiff. When we realised where in the ground the tickets were for I felt we had been set up. All the Swansea mob used to go on a massive covered side terrace a bit like the Kippax at Maine Road. Youv,e guessed it that's where the tickets were for. We stood directly in front of their mob who stood at the back. When we scored it became obvious who we were and the four of us had to make a hasty retreat onto pitchside. We were threatened with arrest but pleaded our innocence and the coppers eventually escorted us round to behind the goal to what would normally have been the away end. We were mot alone but there were very few wednesday fans there that day. After the match it was keep yer gob firmly shut as there were a lot of Welsh after our blood.

We got to Swansea for opening time - had a reyt swallow then gave it large all afternoon - You`ll never ban the Wednesday

great thread, im wondering if when you hark back to the 70s & 80s with your memories/posts, do you look back an see what you look like today or do you see the hair the sideburns the flares. and is it in 4x3 rather than 16x9?

is it polaroid photoshots in your brain or are you swiping your phone, are the players wearing bukta or Azerbaijan?

not meaning to derail what is a great thread, your posts and memories are so clear, im just wondering if that clarity includes these details or not.

after the semi against everton in 86 we stopped off in derby . after a few near the station we headed into town and all hell let loose in the boozer we had landed in , jimmys bar I think . it was like a wild west style brawl with Wednesday fans twatting people with pans from the food area and the carpet was covered in glass . I was told later that forest had said they were going to turn up in derby and kick off with the derby mob...so like twats a mob of pissed up Wednesday fans turn up and it kicked off. After the fight died down we were escorted back to the station ...it was like a walking rourkes drift with derby coming from all sides with the police escort driving into them to disperse them and a mob of about forty in a tight defensive formation back to the station. Well that's how I remember it but I suppose someone may have seen it another way !
