Bullen was sooooooooo desperate to spill the beans on our new owner and his plans, but then bit his lip, then simply said "Listen, it's exciting times".

Sometimes it's not what you say, but what you don't say.

A nod is as good as a wink to a blind man.

Old Thai proverb.

Great night tonight - brunt could not make it for the start but made it eventually to a great round of applause on entry Could see bully was getting a bit emotional at times with the recollections and past players that turned up. Special mention to Garrido and that comedian - both absolutely brill tonight; well done to all. WAWAW

Oh I'm with you.

I thought you meant Burton O'Brien :picnic:

Fun fact about Joey O'Brien. Only home game I missed that season was when he scored in the 4-2 defeat to Hull.

Instead I was at school dressed like a fairy for a Christmas play. Teacher said I'd be kicked off the school football team if I went to the match....

Apparently 10 players turned up, from what I can gather it was:

Brunt

Whelan

Hamshaw

Peacock

Graeme Lee

Bullen

JP McGovern

Richard Wood

Heckingbottom

Plus 1 more I'm sure someone will confirm in the morning
