jonnyowl
Would bring publicitiy if anything else. Players would want to come here and play for him! Would also probably attract better players to the club than what Gray could. Is he going to be a good manager? who knows? Would i want him? well we could do alot worse! Shezza
great player giggs but for every great player who makes it as a manager you could name 10 others who failed .....i havnt checked b but how many current prem managers were great players?... i´d bet not to many. I'd say only Koeman was a "great". There is a few league champs among them, mind.
Guest rubydubydoo
I'm a great SG supporter and do not want to see him leave Hillsborough either being let go or walking away. The man is a great coach , motivator , man manager and good guy to boot . However I would not be adverse to seeing a director of football introduced to strengthen the overall management structure. This does not mean a demotion of any sort for SG Most successful businesses have specialist managers in specific sections IE sales director , operations director , finance director etc.... I do not see why this structure could not work I truly believe that next year could be ours and we will be singing " Yorkshire is ours"

Paul..
Pochettino played in a World Cup for Argentina. Fairly high level. Yeah I was just thinking of him as well and went to look at his wiki, but I wouldn't call him a great, only 20 international caps, highest achievement in management is manager of the month in 2013! I think he possibly will go on to achieve great things but whether or not that will be with Spurs remains to be seen.
@owlstalk
The appointment of manager is way more important than ANY player signing To give a managerial role to someone with no experience is utter madness I swear some of you would give Noddy Holder a go at it ffs Owlstalk Shop
Paddyowl
I think one of the reasons why many top players don't make top managers is because they very rarely come across players with equal ability than they had, so their expectations and ideas of how they want their teams play always fall short of the mark. modboy
footballs fecked if thats how you decide who your manager is ..... i think it is tbh. Many clubs have done it inc Newcastle with Shearer But then it shouldnt be just about one manager, the whole coaching team needs to be solid. taylor
According to the daily mirror Giggs has been tipped to leave Man U to be s manager elsewhere. Would it be worth a punt if SG leaves? And no not in midfield before any clever wee pipe starts. Don't leave skeggy
torryowl
I'd say only Koeman was a "great". There is a few league champs among them, mind.yes just had a look and would say he´s the only one classed as great ,2 or 3 decent internationals but the majority were just average players and the best 2 jose & wenger have no real pedigree at all. F. Spiksley
Koeman isn't that good. He's having a honeymoon at Southampton. By all accounts he divides opinion and isn't outstanding by a long way.
matthefish2002
No from me for Ryan Giggs. I prefer someone with experience. Yes fantastic player but no experience at managing. For every great player that makes a good manager they are about 5 that were rubbish.
