Northern Owler
As is this. Maybe three days pay for you, but most likely not for a lot of fans. How fickle can you be? I went to the Blackpool game, including my flight ticket and match ticket it cost £675, I'm outraged that nobody subsidised me for that cost. Do that for every game then pal, only c15,000 quid. Thats a nice "3 day take home pay" figure
MotherGoose
Or they'd start charging fans less and start paying footballers less. Easy If only it was easy! I'd be all up for some semblance of reality for footballer wages to the income that they can generate (particularly for the non-super clubs) but it's not happening any time soon. It only needs one club to start a wages arms race and it spoils it for everyone. For the supporter it'd be great - I'd love to be able to stream away games. But I can't see many clubs fancying undercutting their gate receipts like that.

mrgund
Sad news. Another reason why the Premier League is such a horrible and fat cash monster.
trevdi9
I've (through my artwork sales )put over 8 grand into the club these past three seasons, yes i can't get to support any more and that amount of cash would set me up for a year or two or even aquire a few season tickets if I could get , but and here's the rub ,I thought that more needy fans could receive the funds via the smilefund thereby helping the club sell tickets in the long run ,now run it past me again that I for one don't contribute , and people who live abroad for whatever reason contribute when they can get ,wouldn't it be fantastic if every one could go every game , but sadly life gets in the way ,
Geedee
Get real. I've no problem with viewing via t'internet. However, anyone doing so should pay the same as someone going to the match. Most seem to want it for free/next to nowt. I think you are not real if you think that the cost of a stream will ever be the same as the price of a stadium ticket. The costs and profitability are totally different, if the clubs got a fair chunk of 46 x £5 from exiles either ex pats or uk residents I think they would jump at it. Groundhopping Owl
The thing is though, all wiziwig had was a list of links to other streaming websites. Just because it's gone doesn't mean the websites it links to are, cricfree and wiznet are still there along with all the others. I still cant get those acestreans working though. acquiescefc
Regarding Wednesday streaming the games as a PPV service, its not possible due to the ridiculously long contract we signed with FLI/Perform who provide the joke that is Wednesday Player which I believe runs until at least 2017. Until then we get what we get.

Until then we get what we get. I am amazed that after the variable quality that 'perform' have delivered that the fl can't get out of the contract early. It does not mean of course that perform could not win the fl wide PPV rights in the future if they did show they could offer clients a quality service with real value. Either way imo it's only a matter of time , PPV will happen in the next few seasons as both a season ticket and payg either fl wide or on a club by club basis. It would be typical of Wednesday if they missed this boat and got left behind by more progressive clubs again.
mrgund
Best sites for streaming now. And probably a lot better than what wiziwig ever was: http://www.rojadirecta.me/ http://livetv.sx/en/ Think these are Russian hosted sites. They ain't gonna worry about no poxy rules and regulations or bowing down to US copyright laws. Putin probably streams Coronation Street in his palace bedrooms.
