sheriwozgod
Hard as nails , deceptively quick and a better footballer than hes given credit for. He was immense in Wilko,s first season when we got promoted , but most people seemed to think the top division would be a bridge too far. How wrong they were , it was really funny week after week seeing classy forwards like Mark Hughes and Paul Walsh looking Madden up and down in a mixture of curiosity and disbelief as no matter how hard they tried they couldnt get the better of him. And lest we forget..............................the Dave Bennett challenge against Coventry

lesbarbeux
As already said....consumate pro. Am surprised how many era's he played through ('83 - '91). Good servant, hard but fair...never flashy, never really an eye catcher, but steady and dependable whichever postition he played....would walk into todays' team.
