Guest Gershwin
Too early to tell. But May has got potential.
Wednesday-Wonderland
6. People who've never played footy need to stop slating the lad, do you have any idea how hard it is to look good as a striker when you get f*ck all service?
gurujuan
I think it's more a case of people bigging him up too much. He's a decent prospect who could eventually do the business at this level but sticking him straight in the side and expecting him to be our saviour is ridiculous. In most other sides in the championship, he probably wouldn't make the starting eleven

Guest lbswfc87
Till he gets decent service his confidence will go lower and lower. How's he expected to score with crosses going in at him throat high? Look at his goals last season, don't think he scored one header did he? And we seem to lump it him all the time expecting a nice control. Then him to get it down take 5 players on and bury it.
TAOWL267
5 at best. Looks out of his depth at this level. When did Scotland last produce a decent striker ? Dalglish ? Law ?
the third man
As a winger, left or right, as a midfielder about 3 as a player in the box with balls being put where he can do something with them, not a clue as i havent seen that happen yet
IstillhateSteveBould
It's down to Stuart Gray to play him the right way, in the right position, with the right sort of players around him who can provide the ammunition he needs. We've spent a bit of money on him, we need to get some return on it. The last thing we need is Gray using him as a sort of defensive forward, harassing fullbacks, wingers and midfielders. He needs to be doing his work where he does it best. In and around the box. This is where Stevie May comes alive. He's already shown he can be lethal when he gets the ball here. The goals at Boro, Brum and the disallowed one at Bolton were excellent. I couldn't imagine any of our other strikers scoring those sort of goals. Some people on here seem to focus completely on the negatives and ignore the positives. Annoys the hell out of me. Oh he's not as good as Wickham, so he's not good enough for us, send him out loan to get him used to the English game! He should be creating his own chances! What the roger! It's just absolute nonsense.
theowlsman
Has obvious potential despite being Scottish. Feel sorry for him, too much pressure on the young lad. Should've been introduced gradually to the team while the team was doing ok. Should've had sufficient enough quality in place up front to allow a gradual introduction. As it's panned out, he's been lined up as our saviour. No pressure there then.
