Guest parsimmon
Know it's been done to death but that display from Kieran Westwood was the best I've ever seen in over 30 years. We were sat directly in line with the goal at the Leppings Lane end and I'm still in awe as to how he managed to make even one of the four/five world class saves he made.Absolute refusal to be beaten and the best keeper in the league by a country mile. Will be gone in January unfortunately. james o connor
fantastic goalkeeper massive step up on previous number 1's. unfortunately I think you're right and a team with ambition will come in for him in January
Ever the pessimist
Best goalkeeping display I have seen in the flesh was big nev Southall (always played well against us), in a 3rd or 4th round FA cup game on a Sunday in the late 80s / early 90s at Hillsborough. We lost 2-1 and he was absolutely unbelievable. Just checked and it was 4th round in 1990. Edited October 26, 2014 by Ever the pessimist
Bluesteel
I'd be sorry to see him go, he's as good as a 20 goal striker for us. But if (for once) we sold for an inflated price it could help us strengthen in other areas

Owl999
He won't be here beyond this season, Premiership class, we wouldn't be mid table if it wasn't for him.

FlyingOwl
Sell him for a ridiculous price and it'll be a good bit of business. We get Westwood in for free. Sell him for £££ He gets to play in the premier league again, on bigger wages probably. We still have Kirkland & £££ to spend on a new midfield. Everyone's happy. Though I will miss Westwood. Arthur Bach
Fantastic display, you know a good goalkeeper when a hughe white hand comes out of nowhere like yesterday. Literally at the last second. Shame we're not pushing for promotion because thats where they earn you points. Sadly, I agree we should, for once, look to make as much money on him as possible. Flat Owl
Our best player by some distance so far and in my view, solely responsible for where we are in the division.

alanharper
Martin Hodge against Forest in the mid 80s, was talked about as a potential England player after that. And he was a proper hard keeper, preferred to use bare hands and not those big wussy goalkeeper gloves.
SiJ
He's fantastic. Should be playing for a much better side than us. To think that Sunderland released him and have Mannone flopping around in goal.
Flat Owl
That is a bit harsh on Lees. Lees has been an astute signing - superb and a consistent 7/10 in one of the best back lines we have had for some time but Westwood, individually, has kept us in the game and maintained our lead when we have been fortunate to score first. That was some display yesterday and one better than many 8 or 9/10's
