Russy
The trains from Waterloo will probably be packed with commuters at that time of the evening I get that train every day. It is actually alright...although maybe I have just got used to it. Worse in the morning.
punkskaphil
I used to travel in and out from Putney. I'd find it fine when everything was running perfectly on time, but as soon as the first delay in any of the services that go that way happened (i.e. Windsor & Eaton, Shepperton, Hounslow, etc) it would have a ridiculous knock-on effect. Having said that, I can't remember being on one on a night when Brentford were playing midweek.
