Guest wilyfox
Milan says he wants us to push on for promotion so maybe he'll dip into his billions With the new rules and regs, it's no longer a simple choice of Milan deciding whether or not to dip into his fortune. only if they offer him another contract And until recently I wouldn't have thought they'd offer. But his form for Brum has given him value again, so they could offer assuming he'd reject and then they cash in. Not saying they will - but they could. Guest wilyfox
How can other teams spend so much money then? Like whom? Teams coming down from the prem? Teams selling their best players affording them to buy? Teams like Bournemouth coming into the champ with lesser overheads? We're neither of those. FFP links expenditure with revenue - that is the whole point. If Milan is already covering a 5mil shortfall without spending big on players, how can he fork out without breaking the rules? BRUCE LEE
How can other teams spend so much money then? Because a) they have a nice parachute payment to dip into or b) the owner is willing to put the clubs long term future at risk by spending recklessly to battle for promotion. More teams than ever will enter administration over the next few years as the gamble requires bigger fees and much bigger risks.

RolandWaddle
Leicester barely spent a bean in the summer, they just manipulated the squad they had. Not sure Bournemouth spent that much either this summer, could be proved wrong on that one though. Personally, like the way the squad is evolving at the moment. We some fine tweeking in the summer I think we'll be pretty decent championship side.

Not saying they will - but they could. Doesn't the club have to offer at least the same terms on a renewal in order to receive compensation if it is rejected? And given he's probably between £15-20k a week, if Man Utd offer him that, he'll probably rip their hands off!
