Ronnie Starling
@Transfer_News24: Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing out-of-contract Newcastle midfielder Conor Newton. #swfc #nufc Know flip all about him, currently on loan at St. Mirren. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-uniteds-conor-newton-targeted-7085351
Guest markowls1
If Mandaric really is going for it next season then I'd expect to see two permanent strikers on par with Fryatt and Macheda like many have said alreay on here. I don't think we'll get that. It'll be Nuhiu and Lavery and Maguire with a panic loan as always. I'm very much cynical Sam at the moment. Stuart gray has said Nadine had a future with us in the championship :-0 I really hope not, don't waste another 15 games before realising Stuart please !!! sheriwozgod
Derby County have released five players, including striker Callum Ball, just before their contracts with the club were due to expire. Goalkeeper Ross Atkins, 24, and defenders James O'Connor, 29, Valentin Gjokaj, 20, and Michael Hoganson, 20, have also been told they will not be offered new deals in the summer. Ex donny skipper who won their player of the year a few times......................very tidy defender for our level , but plays mainly at fullback which is an area that i doubt SG will be prioritising. Wouldnt be surprised if the blunts went for him. Edited May 8, 2014 by sheriwozgod
Guest Sheff Owl
Franck Moussa - Coventry - 14 goals from midfield - linked with a host of championship clubs, free agent. Kenneth Omeruo - Chelsea (been on loan at Middlesbrough), big strong CB, Middlesbrough would like to get him back on loan, he's been a star performer for them. gurujuan
Omeruo would be an excellent signing, quick and mobile, just the type to play alongside someone like Loovens. I suspect there will be plenty of competition for his signature
Guest Sheff Owl
Birmingham are looking to offer Chris Burke a new deal, will be in demand tho. Birmingham have released or releasing Darren Ambrose. A name mentioned on here in recent times.
Guest
Ambrose been on loan at some random Greek club hasn't he ? He's a player i think we'd all like to have seen here a few years ago not really sure if he's what were looking for this time around
Guest Sheff Owl
Yeah Ambrose has been on loan at a Greek club, 6 goals in 11 games apparently. 30 years old, a few years ago i'm sure he would have been a cracking signing, now i'm not so sure. Guest wilyfox
i'd still take Ambrose; goals from midfield & set-pieces.
SWFC_Liam
Would love to see us sign Andy King, Gary Gardner or maybe Darren Ambrose to add some goals from midfield.
gurujuan
Don't really understand this, doesn't Maguire fill this role for us? Double figures from midfield, and our primary creative talent.
Guest CageFightingOwl
How do we feel about Leroy coming back? Matty Fryatt is looking less likely with every game he plays in the prem. How about Leroy on a free. Could we do worse? Personally, i would be excited about Leroy signing. Natural goalscorer on a free.
gurujuan
I'd take Lita
Guest CageFightingOwl
It would look a bit healthier up top wouldnt it. Madine/Nuhiu for height. Lita poacher Keogh, work rate. Lavery 5th choice, gaining experience when and where. Id fancy us with those options, especially if our midfield is sorted.
Guest wilyfox
don't really want either, but i'd take Keogh over Lita.
