FuthaMucker
Well I've just looked on TrainLine for you on my trusty app and it's £58 for an open return on Friday. Departing STP 1358 and arriving in Lesta at 1500. But the last train back to STP out of Lesta is at 2158

POWP
You're really going to be cutting it tight getting a train back with the last one being at 21:58, so my guess is you were always after a lift! Anyway, here's a tip for cheap ass seats on normal trains. Try http://uk.megabus.com but on the search select trains. You can get a London to Leicester train on friday for between £12-£22 with them Times always tend to be limited, for instance, latest train back on a Friday is 20:24, which would be no good... but for your outward journey it aint too bad. The 21:58 on the trainline is only £15 quid anyway, so that'd be a total of £26 in total (including the trainline booking fee). don't think you can beat that to be honest

POWP
Simple solution. Get the £22 single journey, pull a mucky bird and kip at hers Sorted but then you've got not ticket to get out of leicester... you'd have to live there forever!!! or get a £12 ticket back the following day. go on the mega bus website - return to Leicester that day via train is between 12 and 20 pounds each way as mentioned before, you'd only get to see 20 mins of the game before having to leave to get the last train with them!
