The Dukeries Owl
For many years a great part of the aftermath of a day like yesterday, would have been waiting outside the newsagents at 6.30 for my copy of the "The GREEN UN". I really missed that yesterday, anyone else feel the same?

I really missed that yesterday, anyone else feel the same?I missed that for the last year of its publication. As soon as they started putting the price up every other week and you needed a bank loan to buy it Edited January 12, 2014 by Blueblood

Ironman
I agree. Nipping to the shops to get a green un on route to the pub, then sitting analysing the results n tables for a few hours. Good times

Errol Flashman
A white turnover on the socks and black shorts Just a bloke. Being dragged along in a world that moves too quick for it's own good.
Tamworthowl
A few other things that would have improved the day. Brown/Tonge playing Colin still being their manager A decent o.g.
RobbieOwler
Are you indirectly saying the Green'un ran into difficulties because all the south yorkshire teams have been terrible?

AgileBeastt
A penalty would have topped it off for me :) or am I just being greedy?? Surely Leicester could give us some of theirs. As of Saturday they're on 11 pen's for this season. Don't think we've had 11 pen's in past 5 seasons!
FlyingOwl
Would've liked Palmer to have scored either of his chances...and Semedo to smack one in from 30 yards... Otherwise I'm happy.

Perhaps you aren't old enough or haven't queued up on a pre digital freezing night, slagged a few blunts off then rushed home to see the league position, it was all part of it for me anyway.
