malek
Just to say big well done to Owls U-18's captain who is playing for Northern Ireland in U-19's European Championship's qualifying tournament in Belgium. Northern Ireland lost their first game 0:2 against talented Belgium side, in what was descriped as "good performance", and drew 1:1 with France (who played in final last year). Hanna scored late in that game to make it 1:1. On Tuesday NI play Iceland, and win there could easily push them to 2'nd place in their group. Btw. Another name in NI U-19's squad that will be familiar to those who follow academy football is ex Owls U-18, and now St Johnson's Bradley Tomlinson. BarnOwl55
NI football is shot to pieces! Good luck to the lad but if he was a genuine prospect he would be playing in their full set-up.

Yeah because there is loads of 17 year olds ready to be playing international football, even for a team as bad as NI.

KivoOwl
Hanna looks like a small Roy Keane - and plays like him too. Never say die attitude, always wanting to put a tackle in and good on the ball. Only downside is that I think he's 18 now and nowhere near physically strong enough for the first team. KivoOwl
Fortnam-Tomlinson on the bench was released by our academy in the summer. Scored an amazing hat-trick on his U18 debut when 16 then had a bad injury and never really got back into it. With St. Johnstone now.
