Bocar Djumo....

Recommended Posts

Tranmere Rovers are lining up a potential long-term loan deal for Inter Milan striking prospect Bocar Djumo.

The 18-year-old, a Portuguese international at under 19 level is due to arrive at Prenton Park this week to spend the next month under assessment by manager Ronnie Moore and his coaching staff.

If Djumo impresses, Rovers will have the options of signing the player on a half or full season loan.

Moore said: "Inter Milan want the lad to get some experience in Britain, to get to know the way things are done here. We were lucky. He was going to go to Sheffield Wednesday but they already have a lot of strikers there. He's here for a month.

"If we fancy him we can take him to the end of the season or until January.

"He's a left-footed striker who can also play wide on the left. We've little to lose. It's only going to cost us the price of putting him in digs for a month and we might find we have a gem."

Djumo attracted the attention of Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona last summer but Italian giants Inter secured his contract.
