People's thoughts on next seasons attendances?

I've been speaking to quite a few blunts last night and on FB who say they won't be going next season???

In contrast I know of a few Owls fans who are looking to buy a season ticket for the first time! Could it be possible for our attendances to go up and the snorters to go down?

Our Ave attendance was 24078! I'm not sure what the blunts was but I think it was about 17-18k could it drop to 16k or less?

What's everyone's predictions?

If we get 2 or 3 Quality signings in and say 10points from first 5 games we could be in high twenties, get no one in of merit and start poorly could be looking at twenty thousand.

attendances usually mirror league position and team performance. with united down in league one for a third season now, they're in danger of becoming an accustomed 3rd tier club. they must desperately seek investment because their team is weakening each season now.

think we will average between 21- 22k next season.

I would be quite shocked if we dropped 3k off this season's average gate. Surely our crowds will at the very worst remain about the same?

I think theirs will obviously drop.

I think this season there was a lot of buzz in being in a new league, getting some exciting signings like a Barcelona striker, and we started the first few games off well. Ultimately next season's attendance depends on how exciting the signings are and how well we start, but generally after the first season in a new league the attendances drop.

I think there could be a fair clear out today so there could be some fair amounts available for new players! I think the forward positions need to be sorted quickly with proven performers in this division! If we move fast and bring in at least two /three good quality players early on, that could swell the season tickets?

I think we all know by now that MM is not going to spend big money on the team.

Also no Blades again to boost the season's rivalry.

I think attendances will drop, unless we are in or around the play-offs.  And that is most unlikely.

Ours will possibly drop slightly, though obviously not as drastically as say they did the few years after the first season back in the championship last time (not suing the supporters might help).

Think away support will remain, it's been quality for years but this past season on the road Owls have been a different gravy!

Couldn't give a monkeys what pigs do truth be told.

Average will be similar to this season

Unless we are high up in which case it could be 27k ish

You have also got to look at the away followings which effect the average gate

Eg. Qpr and reading in champ

Whereas wolves and Bolton this year

Donny coming up though, and potentially Newcastle coming down.

Theres will drop like a stone depending how they start off

Ours will go up by a fair few depending on signings and how we start (good signings and a good start 26/27k average, carry on the good start for any length of time 28/29k
