I don't start many threads, neither do I post that much, I lurk ALOT though and post when something needs saying, and it needs saying right now.

Stop being such monumental faggots, I just knew we would lose today (yes, I'm uri geller) and given that performance could you really grumble if we go down? I don't (and havent) given a carp about other teams games, it's all about us.

Why did I 'know' we would lose today? I knew we would set up for the draw, and fair enough if it wasn't for a worldie free kick we'd have got a point and been safe. So who do you blame? DJ for having Antonio, JJ and red a injured? Or the team for an inept performance?

You know what I say? pet shop all the moaning, there's still 1 game to play, I had my first lad born this week, and I'll be fcked if his first season (Ok 2 weeks) is going to be as depressing as mine been a Wednesday fan, so I'm going to kit the house out blue and white, I'm gunna go to Hillsborough next week and sing my ass off not just for the lads, but for my boy. WERE STILL IN THIS! So stop the negative sh!t till after the next game Come on Wednesday!!

Pretty much agree with the OP, i thought we'd lose today, and we did, it wasn't DJ's fault it was the players out on the pitch, who on a whole, did not look like they were giving 100% in terms of effort or focus. 

 

Anyway, we've lost this one, there's no point in getting depressed about it, we've got one more game to play, at home in front of over 30,000 Wednesdayites with Reda and JJ back. We'll win this one.... easy.

Congrats on the kid! And i know we won't go down, we have a fighting spirit, next game at Hillsborough which will be absolutely bouncing and Boro are the worst team on form in the league! Come On Wednesday!

I too thought we would lose today, though plenty didn't, plenty thought we would be well clear of relegation by now. Well we're not and it's gonna come down to another last day shoot out. In fact the only result that I didn't expect, was Barnsley beating promotion chasing Hull. Of course we are still in with a chance, we have more points than our rivals.

I agree, and don't like the way we play for draws, that is something that needs to be sorted out, as well as our striker problem, during pre season! We don't need any more loanees we need a prolific striker who will score goals, not players like Bothroyd and Howard who are just big players to try and match the cb's! Need a finisher!

I'll be gutted if we go down, but you have to be honest and say we deserve it if we do. Personally, I would hold DJ accountable if we do go down, we could have been safe so long ago.... But I'm still behind him and the team 100%

Just want to add in here, it actually got to me today that we loaned cog out., and signed Howard... If we go down someone Needs to be held accountable for that

Yes, Howard was a dreadful signing considering we have strikers such as O'Grady! I remember being at the Brunley away game, ended 3-3! He had an absolute blinder and was the best wednesday, if not, player on the field! He holds the ball up well, has a bit of pace, good in the air and a good finisher who scores goals!

You know what my team talk for the final game would be? I wouldn't give one..... I'd have the players out 15 mins before kick off talking to the fans, that should give them all the enthusiasm they need, I'd also play 4-3-3 at home to Middlesbrough with Helan and Buxton as wing backs, attack attack attack.

It's one of those, the grim attritional football devised by DJ has produced enough results to give us a fighting chance of staying up. Ironically, I don't think it will bring us the win we need against the Boro. We seem to have run out of steam, not helped of course by being shorn of perhaps our only two attacking options. I don't see us beating Boro, although I'll be shouting us on of course. We will probably need a slip from Barnsley if we are to survive.
