Lita

Usual reactionary bullsh!t.

I'd say with the service we've given our forwards over the season he's done very well. Crucial goals against Charlton (2 points), Brighton, Blackburn (oh sorry, a penalty), Palace (2 points) and last week (1 point).

Firstly, it's not reactionary when it is stated in advance - so more proactionary really (if that's a thing?)

The service being provided is exactly the point. It's nothing personal against Lita, because in different circumstances he would be a productive member of a championship squad. Unfortunately we are battling for our live at the wrong end of the table. We create bugger all and are probably the poorest team in the division in terms of retaining possession. Unfortunately we can't afford the luxury of a player that is even worse at retaining possession than the rest of them, can't/won't jump or run, gets knocked off the ball as if he's made of paper, and offers literally nothing other than scoring the odd p!ss easy chance (and he's not even clinical at that!).

And if Lita's 2nd goal last week stood ( as it should have )

no one would be slagging him off this weekend.

He is here on loan, but at least he shows commitment to the team!

ok commitment doesent always win games, but on the downside we could have kept slothroyd on

think about that for a moment guys

Take litas goals out of the team and we're already down *cough*

We would've played someone else though. So you can't just take the goals out and leave it at that as if that's the difference between having him and not.

Working on that basis Kirkland is the best keeper ever. Imagine if every shot on target that he saved went in, we'd've been down before Christmas! A nonsense statement, but no different from yours.

if he scores the winner next week he'd be flavour of the month again; he's still the most potent striker we have at the moment, regardless of his flaws.

Yes. I know - way to spectacularly miss the point. You've evidently not read the 'Gardner' thread, and don't under stand the '*cough*' thing...

Eh???

How does he do that then? He's been taking 'how to stand about doing nowt' lessons from Wim Jonk, learned all his 'hiding behind defenders rather than making himself available' lessons from Jay Bothroyd, and his 'how to fall over when a defender breathes in his direction' lessions from Francis Jeffers with Clinton Morrison providing supply teaching cover for all the days that FJ had to miss because of a nasty Chinese burn.

why do so many of you not understand how being a striker works? you can't score if you don't get decent service.

Because most of the Plant Pots who post on here have never played the Facking Game!!

Or because most of us have played the game and understand that we're never going to create chances with poor players, and therefore need a full XI contribution rather than carrying a luxury player who offers nothing? Just sayin

Lita is far and away our best option up top.

He should have started today alongside Howard.

lol lol he would have scored that sitter his brother missed late on

I said when he came he'd be the new Morrison, in that he will divide fans opinion with his ability and effort. I don't think we've seen the best of him whilst he's been here, but that;s because you need an O'Grady-esque striker alongside him. Missed an aboslute glorious chance yday, but i'll put that down to the fact he'd only just come on, rather than abysmal finishing!

Lita has a strikers instinct, something which we lack elsewhere in the squad. His finishing is exactly why he isn't a premiership player.

He's contributed a decent amount to be fair, given the neck high service. He usually bangs chances like yesterday in, maybe he would have done if he still wasn't cold from the bench

ffs listen and learn ,after 20 odd years as a striker I can tell you you can do absolutely nothing without decent service from midfield or the wings ,the way we play makes it so difficult for a striker to do anything , Lita scored a cracking goal not so long back , and it was from the best move of the match I gather and saw thanks to intercities vid, Feed him or madine or any other striker we have the right ammunition and they will score ,give em hoofball to deal with and they will struggle ,hoof belongs to howard , ball to feet for lita and madine would work wonders ,

He was absolutely diabolical last week. The ball fell to his feet with no defenders around him while in the six yard box. He'd've had to try quite hard to miss. Other than that he was about as bad as a professional footballer can be without having to admit to being paid by the opposition.

1 in 3 so far.

Several of those goals didn't require any skill, and were pure luck.

His overall contribution is poor.

He also missed perhaps the most important chance he's had at this club today - something a 'goalscorer' shouldn't.

Hilarious posts.

There is a reason Lita finds himself in space in the box and it definitely isn't luck.
