TheEnchanter
Look at those flares. At least 5-6 of them behind the goal. Nobody chucking them. A controlled environment. Great atmosphere.
cross owl
Were british and we like a law or ten million for our own safety and in no way meant to just be pointless and stifling just for the sake of it and to give the police something to do as they dislike getting out of their cars very much :-)

CockneyOwl
You don't want football. You want a kids party. Jelly and balloons too? Forget the football put some swings on the pitch.

Guest Harry the Owl
The only time we'll be allowed to have smoke bombs and flares is if we play in Europe. There's more chance they'll be legal by then.
TheEnchanter
Steveger: Its all part of the culture of overseas football. I don't know whether its the smell of the pyro in the air, the fact that the fans producing these displays are so energetic and loud or the fact that it feels and looks very intimidating. When Basel scored the othet night you could see all the flags waving, the smoke and flares flowing and the whole crowd bouncing and chanting behind the goal and it just looked so impressive. The 'tifo displays' that ultras put on can look immense. I think they would definitely open up the atmosphere at any ground, allowing for section where pyro is allowed, like most European countries have. The addition of which somehow gives the crowd a boost to sing and chant.
SWFC_Liam
It's a shame we don't get that kind of atmosphere here, but even if it was permitted would many fans take part? The mindset of many fans in England is to sit down and give people who sing and shout dirty looks. It takes years to develop that kind of ultra fan base. Imagine if we had something like this when the pigs came to S6. http://youtu.be/2a9aB8i92SQ Russian Warship.... Go fxxk yourselves.
Shrewsburyowl
Cheers pal, nothing wrong with guys like urself wanting and trying to improve the atmosphere at football matches, they are a bit stale to say the least, sadly though as football supporters we are treat like vermin and criminals which Is wrong. This country as a whole Is too stuck In It's ways with stuff like this, which Is a shame. I have asthma and have been In the smoke at an away Rangers game this season (annan), was right In my face with It being a tiny ground, the experience never harmed me, to be honest thinking about It now It probably got the Rangers Union bears and The Blue Order ultras making even more noise and bouncing faster,or was that the alcohol ?... Still wee wee myself laughing at that youtube video of our (swfc) so called ultras bouncing on the kop, It's a shame as they had the balls to go for It but with most of us being prudes It never spread..... I loved the Berwick game. That end the Blue Order were in loosing off smoke bombs was a flipping tin shed Edited April 26, 2013 by Shrewsburyowl
