Beholder
sounds really serious and a bit annoyed. he is a realistic though and doesn't use made up pseudo-intellectual phrases like that twonk Flitcroft. His old management partner was the worst at that. Used big words to make himself sound clever. Must've caught it off him.
theowlsman
I suspect he doesn't like being reminded what a flip up he made of the job earlier this season. Done fantastic to turn it around with some good loan signings since though.

They're good mates arent they, Flicker and Keith. Wouldn't you just love to go for a pint with them pair, gripping.

Beholder
DJ doesn't really bother with trying to say what will make him popular with fans like certain previous managers have done. In my opinion some fans are too easily won over by badge kissing and thumping the heart with pride. Dave's main focus is getting the job done right, not winning popularity contests. owls maniac
Sounds like someone pissed him off at the Green'un dinner. He is right though, it's not funny to anyone having people joke about you losing your job.
owls maniac
Think he makes a great point about the benefits of steady growth and how it gives us the time to put in solid foundations for the future. If we can stay up its looking good.
heppers
It does make me laugh how signings are attributed to who you support. DJ fans - summer failures were board decisions and successful loan signings were DJ's choice. Vice versa applies. Facts are we are financially stable as a club, nothing more. We will not be buying promotion. Be grateful for what we have. UTO
lincolnowl
His interviews are a proper grind and you end up trying to work out what he's trying to say. Often contradicts himself too - moans about being ribbed over his job than says it doesn't bother him. WTF? No wonder it took the players six months to work out their jobs. heppers
Mourn no in the summer. Big Drog upfront next year. Lampard to boss midfield.

ramone
I thought it was a great interview. Has a clear plan on what he wants to do with our club. I hope he gets to see it through and that we as a fan base get behind him. I often get the feeling that, after reading this forum everyday, that some fans are of the mindset that if we stay up this season we will be pushing for a play off place next season. I don't think it will work like that. Look at teams like Leeds/derby/Leicester/forest, it hasn't happened for them immediately. Things take time. We should get behind him and enjoy the journey.
