just promoted from the division below after sneaking into the automatic places at the death

but otherwise, yes, what a rubbish chuff that DJ is grrrrr!

other teams just promoted go up again in the two previous seasons

All down to budget I'm afraid. Both Southampton and Norwich spent big accumulating squads that were capable of going straight through. Southampton were able to spend £2 million on their strike pairing in the first division!!

Survival and mid table are pretty much the same thing this year.

This is the most relevant point...

Apart from Bristol City and Cardiff being the polar extremes - the other 22 are broadly similar.

Teams around us in March now in the playoffs.

Very competitive league with record low [70-71]to get promoted and record high [54-55] to get relegated.

It could be argued that the poor standard of refereeing alone can mean [and some would say has meant] teams missing out on 15 points that could be the difference.

Just some examples this year - there are others....

Becchio's handball vs Leeds - draw turns to win.

Lita's 'goal' vs Ipswich - draw turns to win.

Bristol City's late goal 90+4 - win turns draw.

Wide open again next year IMO - to go up and go down.

Best League in the world for excitement to the last - with pub league referees....

Well since there's no midtable this season we had the choice of challenging at the top, or the bottom. With out budget and having only just come up we were always likely to be in the latter.

If we stay up it's been progression on last season, if we carry on progressing year after year we'll be in for a good future.

That Bigun's keeps saying negativity

Why does he have to be so moany

Why doesn't he accept that survival is the goal

I think Bigun's talks more poo poo than DJ to make himself look good.

Our budget is ok, but we failed to use it properly in the summer. Had we used it better and had a better first half of the season who knows where we could've gone.

Staying up this season is an achievement all things considered and 55 points would probably usually see us mid table as many expected

Staying up this season should see us safe for next season as I can't see how any of the top 6 from L1 could possibly stand a chance in this division unless they spend big money

I was impressed with brentford last season, maybe they could. I suspect Bournemouth will spend too.
