south_wales_owls
Due to Luis Suarez again , does football need a good look at itself, before the government does it first. Suarez has again called into question footballs integrity. The high wages of the so called superstars, The premier League stealing smaller clubs players, by not paying the proper rate. The Premier League going abroad to pick foreigners instead of english players. The antics of players doing whatever they feel like and escape proper punshment. Clubs now selling their own lifeblood away like Cardiff City. There is now no care and attention paid to the fans of whatever club. Football has we knew it has gone, its probably time the government called a halt to its shameful owners, players, agents. As you will have noticed i am not calling for anything to happen to the fans , only that they should be consulted about things that happen to their particular club. Football is in the dock. There were disgraceful scenes recently at Wembley and Newcastle , and you will see the government said this , but as shouting out about the owners , managers , and agents who are ruining the game, they stay silent. By the way Suarez , should be sold to a foreign team , this is where all the cheating started, sorry rant over

TheEnchanter
Think you've just taken a bunch of unrelated incidents that are arguably some of the negative things about current football. I could easily do the same and claim football has never been better. I agree though, some certain issues about modern football deserve to be taken seriously such as the 'finance of football' but it is so complicated an issue not to mention the fact that nobody is going to stop Sky putting in the billions next season. EatMyGOAAAALLLLL
The media coverage the the Premier League gets is one of the main problems in football. Having been to SE Asia recently you only have to see the impact it has, no one knows anything about Leeds and Wednesday, Forest, Derby etc.. but they shout for Wigan and Fulham because they can watch them on TV. It's no coincidence that all these new owners are coming from Asia. QPR sponsored by AirAsia (Doesn't even fly to Europe), Genting sponsoring Villa, the Malaysian owners rebranding Cardiff. The money and income it must make from Asia will be astounding. Luis Suarez on the other hand is just a tw@.
Guest wilyfox
As a neutral I'd like to see Suarez sold abroad, because his behaviour is unbecoming of a pro footballer; but Liverpool will do everything they can to keep him, for footballing reasons. Football has needed a reality check for a long time - they live in a different world to the rest of us.
matthefish2002
Fed up of hearing about Luis Suarez now. Yes give him a ban for few games but you would have thought he had killed someone way some people are going on about it. When I saw the replay of the incident above all I thought it was very funny. asteener1867
I don't see it as any worse...probably not as bad as tackles by ..well...fookin' Souness for instance. You are not going to be put out of the game by someone bitin' yer fookin, arm..admittedly its crass, its childish, its petulant. Look at Souness' tackle on siggy Johnsson, leg breaker, career ending piece of thuggery...Keanes done the same, Bennett on Knight... How Redknapp and whoever the flip the host on Super Sunday was, could keep not only their faces straight, but didn't actually say anything when Souness espoused what was good and bad in football, made me fookin' cringe...Souness was brutal and thuggish at times when he played... Look at it for what it is...not who did it....

Jürgen Weißbrot
Without reading the actual post, in answer to the question in the title - absolutely YES! Then I read the post itself and see that it's nothing to do with football. That is a crazy man that has decided to do something very random. It wasn't even a malicious response to a bad tackle or anything. It was just a moment of wierdness from a lune. Like something that RavenJetByrne would do. I'm expecting him to be photographed curling one out by the corner flag on the training ground next. Anyway, back to the point - No, I don't think Suarez being a nut job means that football overall needs looking at. It could've been a rugby player, an snooker player, whatever. Sod all to do with football. As I said at the start, yes it clearly does need looking at; but for totally different reasons. Odd OP!

doubleo
NO. Football's fine. The Championship, League 1 and 2 are just great - look at the excitement this year. They are proper English Leagues. ITS THE PREMIERSHIP THAT NEEDS SORTING OUT. Question - Who will win the Premiership next season ? - answer, Man U, Man City or Chelsea. Question - Who will get promoted and relegated from the Championship next season ? answer, anybody.

QPR and Reading - then take 1 from the clubs in and around the play-offs currently - apart from the one who goes up this season And, yes football does need to sort itself out - at every level

TheEnchanter
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Manchester United on their Premier League (EPL) title success...... we would particularly extend our felicitations to Sir Ferguson, all of the pseudo-supporters from Swansea, Somerset and Singapore, Mark Clattenburg and all of the Whistling Cheer Leaders as well as the future United keeper, Joe Hart.Since the mid-season uproar last season, Manchester United league matches have witnessed 12 penalties and 7 sendings off...... ALL of these decisions have been in favour of Man Utd resulting in a fakely close title race last season and a runaway success this.In comparison, when City won the league there were 5 penalties for/ 2 against and 2 sendings off for/ 5 against the Blues. The EPL is a Handicap Race! And an insider gambling one too as Manchester United are very active in the betting markets that underpin the EPL - the match outcomes are generally in the market pre-match.Somebody high up at Old Trafford must be aware of this structure due to the sheer amounts of money involved. The EPL is an Insider Gambling Handicap Race!!
