Ipswich Town away form

Recommended Posts

Just been having a quick look at their away form, they have only scored 13 times away in the league this season, by far the worst in the division, their last 6 away games are as follows:

Derby won 1-0

Millwall drew 0-0

Peterborough drew 0-0

Nottingham Forest lost 1-0

Huddersfield drew 0-0

Blackburn lost 1-0

Just one goal for in 6 matches with just two against.

If we can score early, a result could be on the cards, they obviously go away not to lose games.

A point would do them wouldn't it? We would need to ensure we don't leave ourselves open to the counter, if they come and park the bus.

Remember a few years ago when Ipswich had not won away all season and they came to Hillsborough and won 1-0.

This season should tell you nothing can ever be predicted.

The bottom teams are in better form than the top teams...friggin madness.

Remember the last time they came and were extremely boring and got a result, we really need to be at them early on Saturday.

I remember they hadn't won away all season when we played them under Laws. They beat us, cant remember if it was Alan Quinn or Carlos Edwards who scored.

Alan Quinn.

They are a totally different set-up now McCarthy is there.  They won't fall to pieces like they did when we played them at Portman Road.  They grind out results and make sure, first and foremost, they don't lose.  MM (Mick McCarthy, not Milan Mandaric) has already said plenty of times that he'd take 1 point away from home all season long.  As well as looking at how few they've scored, look at how little they concede too.  Will be tough.

Agree that this will be a very tough game, they have become very, very tight defensively, think the odd goal may settle this one.

Would we take another 0-0 bearing in mind goal difference could well be the decider?

Not negative just pragmatic ;)
