Recently just watch The damned United. One of the scenes got me thinking. The scene were Derby's chairman confronts Brian about playing a strong team against Leeds even though they are playing juventus in the cup mid week. They argue about who picks the team when the chairman says.

The most important part of a club is this (or something like that)

The chairman
The board

The Secretary

The fans

The players

Then the one we can all do without the rumbleing manager.

Think that's right, would you agree with that?

Personally i think its

Players (without them there would be no football played)

Fans

Chairman

Board

Manager

Secretary

Wow, some very interesting asnwers.

The real answer is as follows:

1) Fans - Quite simply, no fans, no Football Club.

2) Chairman - He's the man to call the shots and for good or bad, is in control of the direction of the Club.

3) Secretary - This man is the driving force of the Chairman. Basically the Chairmans go to guy who realises his ambitions and makes things happen.

4) Manager - Expendible but the man to make on field decisions.

5) Players - To a certain point, there's always another player.

Now, if 1, 2 or 3 are poor / not good at their job, 4 and 5 are going to struggle. That's my rationale. Look at us in the past and Blackburn for example now.

Only two people are needed.

1) Chairman......who in turn employs the manager and people who run the stadium side of things..

2) Manager.....who deals with everything on the footy side.

oh yeah, not forgetting fans.....but as long as the chairman employs a good manager everything else should follow.
