Guest LeamingtonOwl
I am not sure of who is out of contract but I believe David Prutton, Giles Coke, Big Mig, JJ, Lewis are the main players we need to think about. What are everyone thoughts on this? I think Buxton needs to be kept without a doubt. I think he could play in the Premiership, he is that good. 2/3 year deal for our best player/ Llerra and JJ both one year deals. Coke two year deal. Really like Coke, he is going to get better and be better with better players. Prutton. Released. He has done very well though and helped us out. SallyCinnamon
I'd agree with that. Think Bywater and Bennett are out of contract aswell. I'd like Bywater for back up, but I presume he'd like to play first team football rather than sitting on the bench for another season. Apparently we've still got Nicky Weaver aswell! As for Bennett, 4 year contract asap, best LB outside the prem.
Guest wilyfox
i'm not sure Coke will be handed a 2yr deal. he's done very well to come in from the cold in recent months, but midfield is something DJ has to put right for next season if we're gonna fare better. i like our youthful midfielders like McCabe, Corry & Palmer; we need some proven quality amongst them. Olofinjana in would be a decent start.

Buxton is good but if you think he's premier league quality you're having a laugh. If we want to improve we have to get players better than what we currently have. Coke and prutton are ok, but if we want to challenge for the top 6 they're not good enough.
GlossyOwl
Coke should get a year. Would be best all round really. If he does well next season, another deal can be sorted during or at the end of the season. Glad he's showing the form we saw when he first came. Guest wilyfox
Ha. Coke will def be offered a new deal. You don't go I take it. oh, you're such an irritating tw@t. Coke and Prutton were brought in from the cold out of necessity because our young midfielders lack experience and Semedo is maybe out of his depth; doesn't mean they have their feet under the table for next season. i think DJ will want better than the pair of them, but i wouldn't object to Coke being offered a year's extension. Geohay
Yea, as well as Coke has played, I don't think he will be offered a contract. I think we will probably sign another senior midfielder in the mould of Olofinjana and try to bring the younger players on a bit. Make or break for Palmer next year! Get a good pre season for him, McCabe and Corry, and one of those 3 will play alongside a beefcake midfield general.

Seriously your an idiot. Anyone who thinks Coke will not be offered a new deal cannot be watching our games. He may have been bought out of the cold but he has reacted to that. Coke started yesterday despite Holden and ladybit signing, so Jones obviously rates him highly. Coke is a brilliant player. As for the comment on the poster about Buxton. Again must be an armchair fan. I am not sure what Buxton cannot do as a pllayer. He could easily step up to the Prem. Easily.

Olofinjana and Holden also started?! i like Coke, and wouldn't mind him getting an extension - but i hardly think that's the definite you make out. pitching Coke against the loanees is ridiculous; they're not even up to speed yet. DJ is having to exercise caution with Holden.
Ronio
wtf, no contract for Prutton, New one year contract. People understimate what he brings to the team. That headed clearance off the line in the final minutes of the dingles game last year ensured we picked up a MASSIVE WIN at a time when we couldnt win a game and off the back of a 7 match losing streak. The introductions Prutton and Coke saved our season. Fans will look at Barkley and think quality player, yet when they think about Prutts, they say get rid, even though he has had a far greater positive impact on the team. We need more players like Prutton who are willing to throw their bodies on the line at any cost.
Liam_Baggies
Coke is a brilliant player. He's a steady player whose helped plugged a gap. He's hardly brilliant. Providing the funds allow it I expect Dave Jones to overhaul the whole midfield with Coke, Semedo and Prutton all leaving and being replaced. Oh so having a different opinion to you means they don't go? **** me, Cokes alright but as said. He's hardly our best midfielder and if we spend money we can do waaaaaay better. Lee A
We need more players like Prutton who are willing to throw their bodies on the line at any cost. Agree that we do need players like him, but not him He gives his all, and will fight for everything which is admirable, but he just doesn't have the quality to move us forward, as proven when we've come up against good sides like Forest, their midfield dominated ours, I do like Prutton but if we want to go further up the championship table, we need better footballers than that. He's helped fill the gap when it was needed but if the club is to move forward then the likes of Coke need to be moved on and replaced with better otherwise the club shall just stagnate. I assume your final comment is another dig at me which I shall ignore.

I see your point, however, since the introductions of Coke and Prutton in the team, our form is comparable to promotion/playoffs form, therefore surely this surely has to be seen as progress.
