Opinions On Taking Kids To Leeds

Go to quite a few away games but have not been to Leeds for a long time after getting bottled outside the ground after a game years and years ago, My 13 year old lad is absolutely desperate to go, I just wondered if anyone had been there in recent times with kids. We would be driving up.

Before all the comments about hiding behind the settee I just want my kid to be safe, after seeing them at Hillsborough earlier this season it seems they are still stuck in the 70's, which is fine if you are going with a group of blokes.

Opinions please

Didn't look like it at Hillsborough, idiots invading the pitch, assaulting players, we will be going im sure, just hope the Police actually Police outside the Ground this time.

You shouldn't have to worry about stuff like this, but the reality is that there is probably an increased risk of trouble.

Although it's an increased risk if you keep your head down then you probably will not be subject to any trouble as generally speaking real trouble is rare in my experience.

I'd be wary of wearing colours though.

You can sadly be in the wrong place at the wrong time and get hurt like our friend Sid

But in general apply common sense

Ie

No colours outside the ground

Find out from the local plod where they advise you to park your car

Obviously nothing associated with Sheffield should be on display in your parked car

No shouting, singing or acting a tw@t outside the ground

Finally if you and your lad want to go please go don't let the w@nkers win

If it's not safe for you to take the lad to Elland Road.  Then the authorities have to seriously looking at closing that club down.  Sure you won't have a problem.  Enjoy your day and come back with the points.

I don't fear any trouble what so ever but yet again I don't got looking for it.

I will hardly be looking for trouble taking the lad with me, i was looking for trouble when i got bottled near the Ground before i was just a kid myself. Anyhow we will go and hopefully 3 sweet points will be ours.
