Nope. He plays a pivotal role in the side just in front of Reda. Allows Reda to swap with him for goal-kicks, set-pieces and throw-ins.

His pace is an asset too.

Don't understand what anyone sees in him tbh.

He's not had more than an average game since he came back.

Just because he's fast over a short distance doesn't make him a good enough footballer.

Should've been dropped a few games ago.

The thing is, until recently we have been playing centre mids that are either static (prutton) go missing (coke) or arent good enough (pugh).

When your midfield are their to defend and put a shift in and cant pass a ball to save their life then having pace as a way to get the ball into the final third when we have possession becomes very important, so I can see why he is in there.

That said, he has been below average for a while now, and if Antonio were fit Helan might have been dropped. As it is, he is still playing.

Pace alone is NOT an asset.

Funnily enough you completely miss out my first point.

What a surprise.

Anybody ever seen him cross a ball or deliver a pass in the final 3rd ?

His place is guaranteed though because we have no-one better

I'd have JJ in front of him every time.

Far more consistent. And we know how inconsistent JJ is so what does that say about Helan?

He is doing a job, but his pace needs to result in crosses and/or shots. Him on one side and Pugh on the other, our strikers are still starved of service. We needed JJ to pull a bunny out the hat yday.

Was wondering if it helps reda as well that him and helan speak the same mother tongue language. They obviously speak English very well but must be nice to speak your own language to a player when trying to get your point across or trying to sort stuff out during a heated game

You forgot to mention that he was caught upfield for the dingles goal and lost the ball and didn`t track back. Left on half way pounding the pitch in frustration at his own inadequacy!

PS:- Your pocket money is in the post ;-)

On the contrary - Helans problem is that he produces very little, consistently. At least with JJ you will SOMETIMES get something out of him
