TheBoyBeevers
I keep hearing this. It's true- they are. Us, and quite a few other teams have puleld out some excellent form recently. However it can't continue. It's impossible. I say that because quite a few games are coming up where teams at the bottom play each other. For instance Huddersfield still have to play P/Boro, Wolves, Bristol City, Blackburn and Barnsley. Points will have to be dropped by teams around us. Everything is in our hands and we're in good form. We will have plenty of chances to take advtanage of other teams dropping points. cardiffowl06
We're in worse form than those around us, hence why we're now closer to the drop than before. We need to improve our form or else we're down. Points might be dropped by those around us but it doesn't matter about them. Wake up to reality. Bluesteel
Sounds like we defended well, but if you don't kill games off then this can happen. I am finding these results elsewhere hard to take though. It's like a bad dream.
theowlsman
We need to play those teams at the bottom too. All to play for, each match will be difficult, and a right battle now. Thank goodness we have Reda to see us over the line.

Problem is that opening thread could have been wrote by a fan of any team in the bottom 6. We just have to maintain our form and hope others slip up. Mountain Owl
Can't rely on other teams losing. Defending a 1 goal lead against the worst team in the league is simply bad tactics.
Guest JunglisticOwl
I'd love to see a table based on the second half of the season. Would be pretty topsy turvy. If we hadn't messed it up so badly early on we'd be heading for mid-table obscurity or even pushing a play off place. I just hope we stay up and I can't wait to wipe the slate and start again next year. I for one would like to see Jones get another season now the team has finally settled a bit. BRADDAZ
Jones can't do much more. We keep getting results. But, he still gets the blame. I understand what you're saying. But it's the early season stuff that means no matter how good our form is at the moment we're always battling to stay with the pack. The early season stuff was largely his fault But I think we'll be ok. We have enough in this squad to get the wins against teams around us to keep us up. gurujuan
It has been a bizarre sort of season, imagine had we not had a post Christmas upturn in form, we would be adrift at the bottom of the table. All the bottom teams have pretty much brought all those that perhaps thought they were sitting comfortably in mid table right into the mix. It's that tight that a current top half team could still be relegated.

You can rely on other teams dropping points when they're playing each other. It's a certainty. We have to keep doing what we're doing (averaging 1.5-2 points a game) and some of the other teams will drop points. They literally have to. At Christmas we were dead and buried. We were paying for our truly awful recruitment. I had accepted it. This second half has been a bonus for me. Still not confident that we will escape. But my lack of expectation just about makes it tolerable. BTW - I think we are a poor, poor side.

It might seem obvious but 50% of posters on here are seemingly too busy preparing their nooses to stop and think.
