asteener1867
Me Barnsley cap on't 'ook it hangs. limp an' most forlorn again at Hillsboroughs' hallowed halls the heart from me was torn The road to Heavens paved with gold, or so I hear folk tell they ought to tek A61...it leads to fookin' 'ell. Another Dingle battle lost, against the blue an' white I'll not be feedin' the ferret...or walkin' the whippet tonight .

sten
Everyone knows the road to Heaven and Hell is paved with a chemical based Tarmacadam compound and just to play the pessimist or possibly realist, I thought that for huge chunks of the game, Barnsley looked the more balanced team and passed the ball way better than we did. JJ saw the pass through to Lewis for the first goal which was superb and Reda did the biz for number 2 and we had a bit of a spell but generally felt we were too reliant on wasted balls hoofed to Lita. Fortunately Madine had great game but couldn't help thinking that there was whiff of 'mugging' about todaay....just not as strong as the Oakwell version! Whatahoot
Nice One !! This little ditty brought to mind Newcastle fans too. Their favourite tipple is nicknamed " the dog" (Newcastle Brown Ale).....why ? ....because when a Geordie wants to go for a pint without the missus knowing, he will say....Got to see a man about a dog or I'm just going to walk the dog. So how many owls fans went to see a man about a dog last night ? Next time you see a bottle of Newcastle Brown...read off the bottle (after you've supped it of course)
Guest Johnbloodaxe
Fantastic Asteener as usual.. Very funny and lot's of Barnsley pathos, if that makes sense, but you know what I mean... You ought to be published, if not already... My favourite poet of the century.
