Well Played, A Deserved Victory.

We simply couldn't cope with your physicality.  I think we would have been better off starting with Foster at centre back, Hassell couldn't cope with Madine.

Our midfield couldn't really cope with Olifinjana who had a good game.  We would have been better off packing the midfield and i think Dawson should have been involved somewhat.

Your boys defended really well, and we lacked that final ball to unlock your defence, although i thought Mellis was our stand out player.

Yes your hoofball isn't really pretty to watch, boring most of the time, but its effective against our small players.

It was a tight game really, and it was league 1 standard at best, but you got the 3 points in the end.

And i noticed Posh and Wolves both won, bloody typical that is, but ey life goes on.  Roll on Monday.

Anyway Wednesday-ites, good luck for the rest of the season, and i hope we both stay up, and the Blunts and Donny come up to make it a decent league next season.  Not confident from our point of view though.

Surprised Scotland didn't start. you were toothless in attack last time we played. Scotland's bagged a few since he joined ya. was pleased to see him on the bench. send my regards to Flitcroft for picking Spamwood lol

Fair play for coming back on here, although with regards to our hoofball, I thought our opening goal was the best move of the entire match.

Still, always welcome fans of other clubs on here when they come on to talk football, unlike the other d1ckhead Barnsley fans who've been giving it the big one all week and I'm guessing we won't see them back on here now.

All the best for the rest of the season mate, hopefully we can both avoid the drop.

Poor game ,but full of thrills and spills.Llera and Gardener were superb today.Hope you stay up but its wide open 55 points could be the safety mark this year.

Mellis and Perkins were good although the latter was nullified when coke came on.

We did mix it up with some balls to feet, but it was clear we were getting half chances from sticking it in the mixer. Whatever way it is done I don't really mind. First goal is key for us.

I think Antonio would've caused havoc today mind.

Perkins was poo and Mullins did nothing except pointlessly run at our defence and score a cracking volley.

Barnsley were very poor.

Your hoofball wasn't pretty to watch either. Gardner and Llera must have crooked necks after that game.

This. That Barnsley fan who came on Football Heaven making out as if they've played like Brazil, god knows what game he was watching. First half especially, Barnsley were doing long ball a lot. I'd love to know how many headers Llera and Gardner had to do today

Thought Perkins was a lot quieter this time round.

Fairly even game though IMO, but we took our chances (apart from penalty obviously)

Regarding relegation/promotion...I dont't mind Donny coming up and you surviving, but no way I want those scruffy little piggies from other side of our city anywhere near us. I hope they rot in League1  and below for many years to come

I go to every home game and quite a few away games and I've not seen us play hoofball as much as we did today,no excuses,we wouldn't have won that if we'd still been playing now.Other than the last ten minutes I don't think we really rattled you lot one bit.Other than our Marlon we don't really have any strength and your defence coped with him easily.

I'm with trickytrev in  that your first goal was the best move of the match,it tore us apart and showed exactly where our weakness is,our defence, been poor for ages and not been addressed and I fear this will be our ultimate downfall.

Forget about anyone on football heaven going on about 'just like watchin brazil' because we havnt been like that once this season, our recent run where we have picked up some wins has been a scrappy affair and we've had to fight tooth and nail for the points,,,,and if we are to stay up we are going to have to fight harder because we arnt going to football our way out of relegation.

Good luck to you lot for the rest of the season,so long as we stay up I sincerely hope you do too, cracking derby games with a great atmosphere,,,flippingYeovil away just dunt have the same attraction.

As i said in another thread...

I love all this 'not a nice team to watch'...

We have been mixing it up and CAN play the ball on the floor but at the minute we are in a relegation scrap and it doesn't matter who you play as long as you get 3 points..

You stick to keeping the ball on the floor and go down...i would much prefer our way and then next season we can really get back to playing like we did when Jones first took over.

It was a pretty poor game played out by two poor teams imho.......pretty obvious why we're both battling relegation.

Good luck to Barnsley, NHT.......it's going to the wire.
