BIG D
Just gone for two 2-0 wins for the next 2 games in the Prediction League. Madine first scorer both games. His time is here (if he gets the chance).

Sheza91
Why do people keep going on about madine, he is not a championship player, every chance he has had he has not taken it. If our only chance of survival is madine hitting form then start planning for league 1 where we can at least find him a place in the starting

Didn't he score 3 in 7 starts before he got dropped? When he starts a run of games he scores.
BIG D
9 starts for Madine this season in the league and 10 minutes here and there. Ridiculous lack of faith from the off by Jones.

Or maybe his experience tells him he just aint good enough, lack of faith ? dont make me laugh, the club had too much faith in a youth coach with plenty of Badges who had plenty of badges not too long ago, and look where that nearly took us. Dronny Owl
Why do people keep going on about madine, he is not a championship player, every chance he has had he has not taken it. If our only chance of survival is madine hitting form then start planning for league 1 where we can at least find him a place in the starting 11 He's not really had the chance, so it's hardly fair you slate him. If he's given a run of games he will come good, more trust by Jones will breed confidence in Madines own mind and confidence in a striker = goals

edinburghowl
I'm not that fussed if he starts but Madine has 8 out of the last 9 matches to contribute so hopefully he can make some impact by then. People need to remember there is a high chance he will probably not be available for the final game of the season.
Guest Fedor
Madine has had plenty of chances this season and not taken them. Others have come in and took their chance. Madine has been inept a lot of the time this season but lets blame DJ. If he had come in and put the effort in he would have been rewarded with a run in the team. gurujuan
It would be extremely premature to right off Gary Madine. He's still relatively young and could develop into a very good player for us, although maybe now is not the time to test that theory. To be honest, it's not been easy for any of our strikers this season but hopefully if we survive, we can rebuild a more attacking side. A decent championship side will need a pool of at least five strikers. With COG seemingly on his way, I can't see Madine or Maguire leaving as we would then have to recruit five new strikers and that ain't never gonna happen. Madine's time will come I'm sure of it. Guest intercity0wl
'His experience' has been found wanting a lot this season though hasn't it? In the weeks when we we lose then yea in many fans opinions he has, then again them very same people sing his praises when we are winning, for me i think he has done a decent job given what he has had to work with, enquiring about kevin Davies, and ending up with Howard sums his backing up perfectly for me. As somebody who was brought up on forwards like Macdonald, Jordan, Osgood, Whitehurst and the like, Madine just dosen't show an of the physical Qualities needed to cut it at the top of Professional Football, league one maybe, but at this level and the better quality players then for me he is well below whats needed to survive, never mind progress

Guest Fedor
Madine fanboys have to edit posts because their excuses wont wash.Needs service blah blah ( despite other strikers having a much better strike rate) Needs a run in the team blah blah ( yet he has not shown much willing when put in the team) Others like Prutton , Coke and Lee have grabbed their chance. Guest intercity0wl
flipping Whitehurst? I take it you never saw our Billy play, or have heard many a top class defender, and tap room big hitter say how he was the hardest bloke they had ever had the misfortune to play against or Meet ?.
