Wednesday_Jack
Obviously JJ now has the opportunity to come into the team as the "natural" replacement for Antonio but thinking about shouldn't we all know how this will work out?? History suggest that he will come into the team play really well and have a bust goals and we all get excited....then (and this is disappointing bit) just has his form is peaking...he pulls up on 30 mins with an hamstring injury and doesn't play again!! Wonder if DJ will be in the market before Thursday for a winger to cover this potential problem?? Surel he has to be??
Innes
History suggest that he will come into the team play really well and have a bust goals and we all get excited.. If he can do that for our next few, massive games, then he can go as off-form as he pleases
Guest Big Guns
I'm hoping he does the same as last season comes in scores a few wonder goals and singlehandly saves our season again
Wednesday_Jack
If he can do that for our next few, MASSIVE games, then he can go as off-form as he pleases Wouldn't it be nice to have a bit more confuse ce that a player can come in for all the remaining games though?? It's just disappointing and frustrating when it happens and if where honest with ourselves there is a fair chance it will happen...just a matter of when and not if!! Our luck at the moment...it could be sooner rather than later

Guest wilyfox
he did step up and deliver for a few games after Marshall left last year; an ideal scenario would see him do the same again - but this is JJ we're talking about...is he able to do it on demand? he's an enigma we never found the answer to. Wednesday_Jack
His form is not the worry for me...we know he can do it!! It's his injury record that's the worry, Can he play 10/11games injury free??

If he plays 10/11 games, injury free and showing any sort of hot form he has shown in the past in more than half of them, I'd be confident we'd stay up
Suzuki_San
He only needs to be fit for 9, and arguably only play well in 4!

I'm not questioning his ability or form when he gets going...I'm asking do you think we can rely on him staying in the team for any length of time due to injury?? What would we do if he played against Barnsley and Bristol and then gets injured?? IMO we would be left very short and again left with a lack of pace!! How many times have we seen jj fit a firing...then get injured so soon!! It's an important run in to lose a player and not have cover
Wednesday_Jack
He only needs to be fit for 9, and arguably only play well in 4! So that's fit for 90% of the games and play well in 50% of those 9...it's a tall order from a player who has very weak hamstrings!!

Wednesday_Jack
F*cking hell .... you take pessimism to a new level Just a realistic view matey...how many times have we seen it?? Plus why is it pessimistic? It's a genuine question based a reasonable fact and history!! No where in my post does it say we're doomed or getting relegated!! Think you might have jumped the gun in your attempt to shoot me down in flames old lad...wind your neck in and think/read before you try!!

I got the question mate, just saying that if he does then we stay up. Whether he stays injury free or not, I couldn't possibly hazard a guess as I don't have a mystic ball! Blueblood
I have got a mystic ball and I can tell you that JJ will play an important part in our reaching round the mid table mark. TheWednesdayFC
JJ will save our season. He always plays well when it counts. I'd say he's the most mentally tough player in the squad. It's just the rest of the time when you need him to help kick us on he seems disinterested. It's like he wants to be the saviour or nothing.
