After completing my Jermaine Johnson article earlier I was posed the question, "how many players has JJ played alongside?"

Well the answer is that 114 players have played in a competitive game since JJ joined the club - they have not necessarily played together, but still.

Check out here for more information:

Certainly! Who's the most obscure player in this list? And who's your best/favourite and worst/least favourite player?

It's certainly true that we rely too much on the loan market - but what's the other option? We all know that while financially stable, Milan isn't the most flush for cash. The loan market has given us some sterling players, which is worth bearing in mind.

Hopefully in five years time we won't have similar figures, and similar numbers of poor players to have represented the club in a similar period!

I know that finance is the problem. But a quick count (I maybe wrong by one or two) and I counted 33 players who only played on loan. And some of them were tripe! That numbers not including the Grays and Potters who had a loan spell made permanent.

You can see why we've never had a settled team when we average 6 temporary players every year. Hopefully if we stay up we can start building a proper team, get it settled and only rely on the loan market for emergencies or one or two quality additions a year.

Whilst all in their prime for Wednesday:

Kirkland,

Buxton, Gardner, Madjid, Reda,

Antonio, Whelan, Barkley, Brunt

Tudgay, Lita.

Weaver, Simek, Llera, Marshall, McCabe, Madine, Burton.

Honourable mentions for Semedo, Bullen, Batth, Rob Jones and MacLean. It's a tough one because those who've had REAL quality are in the XI, like Barkley but then players who we'll take about in years as being the lynch-pins in promotion sides - the likes of Jones, Semedo and Bullen, miss out.

We've had some shyboo players looking at that lot. Especially strikers

My choices are not necessarily the best but ones I like best.

Some players aren't on that list who didn't even play a game for us! such as Amado or that Kalnic or w/e his name was

If you click the link it gives you all the info where that's concerned. When I was doing the research we had quite a few players who were on contract forms but never played competitive minutes (which is what the list is made up of).

We had a few players like that around the same time as Modest came through. I remember one lad called Max Wragg (my namesake, that's why) - anyone remember him? Think he was an academy graduate too.

Max was on FIFA.

Surely that is enough recognition.
