Guest LeamingtonOwl
Gary Madine has had a terrible season. Not even his biggest critics could have envisaged the season he has had. Everything has just gone agaisnt him. However, this is his chance now, his chance to show he is still our best striker and he has what is needed at this level. Gary Madine should start Vs Barnsley? SiJ
Well...I'd rather we actually play with two up top against Barnsley than go with a 4-5-1. Be surprised if we don't bring in another striker on loan by the Dingles match, though.
Lees Tom Cat
I would like to see him start but will understand its a lot to put on him at his young age if not,He has been a super sub though and after he comes on offers a new dynamic. Tough one..Will have to wait see what DJ does now Antonio is out..I hope he starts. :madine: =GOAL MACHINE!
Handball_!!
One of the more bizarre happenings this season is that COG is on loan at a relegation rival and Gary Madine is getting game time for us. Truly bizarre decision.

ash60s
Showed some decent touches when he came on Saturday Deffo like to see 2 up top v.Dingles and 5 man midfield to provide delivery from out wide, with 3 at back - Reda dunt look fit to me

rob_owl_92
IMO 4-4-2 against Dingles, Madine starting upfront with Lita, McCabe in at CM for Pugh, JJ in for Helan. Try and keep it on the deck and pass it round, hoofball doesn't suit any of our players. On the rare occasions we actually pass the ball we can be pretty good (Hull away, B'ham at home). fredmciverslovechild
3-5-2 is a very brave formation and I'm not sure that Wednesday are capable of pulling this off. On a plus note Madine looked quite sharp when he came on on Saturday- and I am far from his biggest fan- so I really hope he can prove me and many others wrong soon cos I think we gonna need him at his best No way that we will only play three at the back. A draw against Barnsley wouldn't be the end of the world whereas a defeat could be and DJ isn't going to play a risky strategy. I think it all depends on who we get/if we get anybody in on loan. I am sure DJ will be looking for a wideman and a striker and if we are successful it then is a case of which current loan players we start leaving out to remain within FL rules. I think that might govern whether we play only one or two up front.
