Why all the negativity

Recommended Posts

Just don't get it. We lost to top of the league who yesterday showed why they are top of the league because they can win those poo games. We've just had a horrendous run of fixtures. I actually thought we'd see ourselves drop into the bottom 3 after this recent run of games then climb back out come the end of the season. The unexpected win at Leicester sees us out of the bottom 3 coming out of this run. We will stay up guys! UTO

We weren't poo poo 3 weeks ago when we were near the top of the form table though we're we? Like I said we've had a nightmare run of fixtures. Chill out. Got to play a lot of the teams around us now its in our own hands. Then there's teams like derby wolves Blackburn on very bad runs (I know derby and wolves both won yesterday)

Yes we were, but results were masking how poo we are as a technical side, hard work will only get you so far, hope we don't get found out over the next 9games but have a feeling we might, especially without Mick

Games like blackburn H

Milwall A

Leeds A

those 3 dont really have much to play for more than likely so we need to capitalise on this

This, we've terrible along the whole run but when we win we can live with it. When you play as bad we did yesterday and we lose then people are obviously going to start complaining.

It's nothing to do with getting beat by top of the league (I can live with that) but we couldn't even string two or three passes together yesterday, it was awful. We played football once all game and the ball ended up in the back of the net, granted it was offside.

Does DJ actually tell our players (prutton and Pugh mainly) to whack the ball up the pitch without even looking every time they get it? Either DJs tactics are wrong or the players are ignoring him.

Our approach has been, make ourselves difficult to beat and hoping Lita/Antonio can ****** something. Probably too late too change tactics now but we do really need to give ourselves a few more attacking options. What we do in this window will be crucial.

Our style works better away from home than at home, the counter attack. But two of our better performers recently, wickham and Antonio are no longer available to us.

I was feeling comfortable a few days ago, but id be lying if I said I wasn't pretty worried now and that's not being needlessly negative. I think we will need to freshen things up on the pitch to avoid huffing and puffing our way into trouble.

We'll be fine.

We'll get back to winning ways soon enough and when we do, all the cowards and babies on here will go quiet again.

It's understandable that some people have concerns, but the amount of foot-stomping and comments such as 'that's it, we're going down, we're doomed, League 1 beckons' when one day of matches goes against us, is quite frankly embarrassing.

It's like the forum's been invaded by a bunch of petulant children.

Our hardest games are still to come

in terms of them being relegation battles yes but, the hardest games are actually against the best teams in the league and we've just played them all.   From now until the end of the season we are playing teams that are not as good.

Too right.

Barnsley, Peterborough, Bristol, Ipswich will all be tougher than the ones we've played. Huge games for both clubs involved, we had to pickup points against Cardiff and Watford who are faultering, we didn't.

Barnsley and Peterborough are in top form, whereas we are not. I'm sure we can get something out of them, but don't have the mentality that the tough games are over with and it's the easy ones left, because I think I'd rather play Cardiff at home than Barnsley at the minute.
