Ronio
A few rumours going about that a few premiership clubs are looking at Kirkland in the summer. We all know how great he is and we are very lucky to have got him on a free, well done DJ. , If it wasn't for his back injury he would still be playing in the Premiership. Which comes onto my main point, how much would he be worth if a premier league came in for him in the summer, 1, 2 maybe 5 million?
archway-owl
It's a funny one where keepers are concerned, I've always thought that they never fetch enough money when you think how much difference a good one makes to a team and how much of a handicap it is having a poo poo one! I think we got him in a 2 year deal so I would say probably 1-2m but he is worth a lot more than that in my mind
Tea Baggins
Taking his age into account, we would accept £500k upwards I reckon. *not that I agree with that price. Edited March 12, 2013 by GHS

geriatricowl
Dave the Builder, new what he was doing when he brought in Kirkland, same with a few others namely Mcabe, Antonio, Corry, and Lee to name a few all players who will help move the club forward or bring in big transfer fees . Makes a change doesn't it .

Ronio
He's only 31, that's no age for a Keeper . agreed. Look at Friedel still playing at the top of his game and past 40 years old.
Tea Baggins
He's only 31, that's no age for a Keeper . Yeah but when you take his injury record into account...... Don't get me wrong I love him and think he is the best keeper in years to play for us. Our gain if we can keep him.

Hopefully we will stay up then we must offer him a contract extension, also with him being an ever present in the league this season we can now keep our fingers crossed his injury problems are a thing of the past . Like you I hope we can keep him, best keeper we have had since Springett IMO .

SWFC_Liam
Would probably get half a million upwards, would be a shame to see him go but it'd be good business from the club.
WatfordOwl
If it's a million quid it ain't worth selling him, far more value to the team for another season rather than picking up a bad keeper with the money we'd get

MotherGoose
Not a lot. He's worth loads to us because he's a quality player but not a lot in the market Hopefully our finances are such that now we don't have to sell our players for the first offer.
