Jones Comments After Leicester

Recommended Posts

Wednesday manager Dave Jones: "It shows you how far we have come as a football club because when we played them in November they were far the better team and we had some catching up to do.

"I think we were a bit naive earlier in the season in what we were doing and it took us a little time to adapt. We have lost that naivety and become a bit more solid. It goes to show anyone can catch a bear when it is hibernating."

Did he use to do these animal quotes when he was at Cardiff?

lol

On a serious note:

The difference between that display and the one against Leicester in the season wasn't half striking.

Leicester earlier in the season could win have won 5-0 at Hillsborough and yet on Saturday, with them now having a proven goalscorer in Wood, they never really looked liked scoring.

The difference is now that the Gardfather keeps them in order. he never stopped organising and cajoling his team mates all through the game at Leicester.

It gets infectious, they were all talking to each other all through the game, discussing everything pointing, picking each other up when they'd got clattered in the box. My friends I give you a team, not a set of individuals like earlier in the season.

Do hibernating bears poo poo in the woods?

No they don't, they're hibernating! They create a ball of spittle, fat and hair, called a Tompion and insert it in their bottom to prevent creepy crawlies sneaking up there and obviously to prevent those unwanted leakages whilst sleeping through those difficult winters. Here endeth today's bear lesson. I thank yow.
