Ian_D
The best thing that Bob Jackson used to say on the radio on Saturday afternoons was, "If I was to say David Hirst...."

Maple Staple
Didn't he use to play marching band music for the last 5 minutes of a match on Radio sheffield ??? Yes he did. The marching music would play then when it stopped at some time during the piece you knew somebody had scored.
Wolfmanjack
Bob Jackson ,he used to do the original praise and grumble, could never understand why he was the announcer as he was a diehard pig fan Very big crown green bowler enough said The thing about Robert Jackson was he had a massive knowledge of local football. You could mention any local footballer, or ex footballer and he'd know where he came from, which school he went to, who his parents were, and he also showed no bias to either Sheffield club. Three present incumbents, and fat Seth think they know everything about local sport, and football in particular, but they couldn't hold a candle to Bob Jackson. He had encyclopedic knowledge of local sport, which is not something you could ever say about the other four presenters.
M Royds
BJ was very impartial and could hide it so well he was called a Wednesdayite when in reality he was a blade.

Salmonbones
BJ was very impartial and could hide it so well he was called a Wednesdayite when in reality he was a blade. That is admirable, but i'm sure he didn't like being referred to as "BJ"
Ronnie Starling
I used to like P & G with Bob with the odd call that would go like " Grumble Robert at Wednesday. They were flipping poo poo today". In the days before delay.
