theowlsman
Got the lads well up for it yesterday, team and tactics were about spot on, and as a result, our push to get away from the bottom three, continues to provide a degree of comfort. It was nice to see Wickham score too. Well done Conor lad. I think starting with Lita, and using Wickham as an impact player, is definitely the way to go - as I suggested last week. That was foresight, as opposed to hindsight by the way

theowlsman
You should be a politician. The important thing is that we stick together, and ensure the team's safety, in preparation for next season's promotion push.
Mr Farrell
Spot on Simon. Thought the defensivive performance today had Stu stamped all over it.

Looks like we're still going for the play offs too Kev. Glad I bunged £50 on it when you suggested it.

The calculator shows us sneaking in on the last day of the season by just one point. What a Party that day will be. If DJ and Stu don't get Manager of the season there will be something wrong. ReadingOwl
The problem that Simon has with betting is that he can't put bets on after the game. You have to admit, he is brilliant at that.
theowlsman
I remember somebody saying "If only you could sell hindsight". Anyway, I thought that was a brilliant idea so I'm selling it, I have a large stock of it imported from China. Reda scores in our next game. A tenner a unit if anyone is interested? theowlsman
Ps - You just know Reda will score in our next game, and I'll be even more unbearable, don't you?
Guest Distraught!
It would be interesting if we could have the power of hindsight and start this season again without the like of Bothroyd and with Stu from the beginning. Where would we be now in the table after 36 games?

Where would we be now in the table after 36 games? Play-offs already. Without a doubt. Just as much as the playing of slothroyd destroyed our early season, big Stu arriving saved it. theowlsman
Stu would have said "Oi, Jonesy, Bothroyd? You're 'aving a giraffe ain't ya?"
theowlsman
Anyway, back to foresight. I was the first to point out our squad wasn't good enough, and that we already needed to think about further loan signings, because our existing squad wasn't good enough. I was then pilloried for saying so only for everyone to agree with me about two months later. Please don't make me drag the thread out, you know I am always right

Eightace
You'd think though that a premier league forward should be in from the start. Is it the way we play that lowers their effectiveness or just that bothroyd and wickham aren't all they were cracked up to be?
