Can we all calm down now, lads?

Recommended Posts

I won't calm down until we're mathematically safe. But still a huge three points.

I echo this, I think we need 10 points more (we always seem to need about 3/4 more wins regardless!)

But this was a huge result and unexpected. I said after the Watford game that if we could nick a win from either Leicester and Cardiff it would make up for the dissapointment against Forest and Watford. I think most of us wouldve taken a point from many of these games including Palace. So we have taken 6 from 4 games so far this month. A win against Cardiff or the dingles and we'd be looking at 9 points from March which no one wouldve expected.

Shame the likes of Blackpool and Brum won otherwise wed be right up there.

For once, I was calm after the Watford game. It was clear that this team has the endeavour that we need to earn the points we need,

Second half of the season - we are a top end team.

I agree with that, but my worry has always been that such a terrible first half meant that we had to be a top end team to even stand a chance, so we cant afford more misfortune or bad runs.

We are giving teams real problems and we dont look like a relegation side at the moment in terms of our confidence. But it seems like whoever finishes in the bottom 3 this season may feel a bit aggrieved. If we keep our heads up whilst teams like Huddersfield or Millwall (hopefully) implode then we should be ok. Fingers crossed, we need to make sure we play like this in the six pointers.

So thats 2 wins and 2 losses so far from our difficult run. Every chance if a result against Cardiff too.

What's our points per game since Barnsley? It's amazing how much flapping people were doing after Watford away. Grow some backbone.

What a victory today. Fuccking marvellous.

Agreed, looking good for next season too, really think we can mount a challenge for the play-offs at least.

Since the home defeat to Bristol City on December 8th we have taken 28 points from 15 games. In that time we have played seven of the top eight, winning five and losing only two.

Lets just hope that Barnsley at home isnt a watershed for a change in form again lol

Reckon we will beat both Cardiff and Barnsley which will pretty much see us safe.

Sounds crazy, but we really could have been up there in the play-offs.

11th place is definitely doable if we continue our good form.

If we had 6 more points we'd be 11th.

We've been slugging it out for ages and making little progress, something has to give soon. Reckon gaps will start appearing in the table soon and we'll capitalise.

That's the way I see it too. If it weren't for those two dreadful runs in the autumn we would definitely have been looking at the play-offs at the very least.

after the two shocking runs we've had, to be in a position where we're talkin' about winning 3/4 from the last 10 is fantastic...

at one point it was lookin' like we'd have to win the last 15, and still hope other results went for us...

Thats the thing with this league, even in the Brian Laws years at the end of the season I'd think, if we'd won those two iffy games where things didnt go our way we 'd be up near the playoffs. One season we won on the last day and finished about 16th after being threatened with relegation all season. But the same can be said for anyone.

Im hoping Millwall will get dragged down, the cup run may harm Barnsley and Huddersfield are stuttering a bit. We have some big six pointers between now and the end of the season though.
